Is Proactiv too good to be true? I just ordered the $20 trial package.

It worked for me, and I have very sensitive skin. I didn't use it on my face though. I have really long hair & I went without washing it after I put in some hair product that was extremely oily. I woke up the next day with pimples everywhere my hair had touched my skin...my shoulders, upper back, and upper chest. I was devastated, but I used Proactiv during the morning & night, then I would use Patricia Wexler overnight acne repair cream right before bed (this can be found @ any Bath and Body Works store). I never touched or attempted to pop anything, give it time. I would also wipe with pre-moistened towelettes after exercising or excessively sweating. Although I do still have some pigmentation & scars, I'm currently using Mederma and Vitamin E oil to fade them. Also, you can get a blue light facial anywhere on your body that also helps fade them...Good Luck!

I have tried steaming before above either a bowl or sink of hot water with some lavender oil in it and a towel over my head. It did not do anything at all to my blackheads, but it made a small difference to ordinary spots.
I like to do it before a face mask.

Ah, sorry hah I forgot I'd posted here! Thanks so much to those who answered, it helped so much!:flower:

So do people actually apply aloe vera to their face? I've always been too scared to try it because I though it might make me break out, so I didn't want to risk it. Do you use just that blue/green, aloe vera gel (like the kind used for sunburns, I guess)? ^_^:flower:

my skin is horrible! it seems like I have acne under the skin or something because I have a whole bunch of little bumps everywhere that I cant get rid of! they're so noticable in the sun, and I cant get hide them with makeup. what do I do?

For extreme cases, and I mean extreme.. the active ingredient, don't ask me which one I'm having a brain fart, in most acne solutions and cleansers is only 2%. For those who that doesn't work for, there are corn removal liquids (yes for the feet) that have anywhere from 9%-15% of that active ingredient. Dabbing that on serious problems spots.. such as for the painful bulges that nest under the skin and never seem to come to surface.. it really takes care of them, usually over night. The most I and others I know suffered from this method was some redness which disappeared after the first day.

I get you honey .. try SkinDoctors overnight zit zapper. Its not so good for actual zits but the smal bumps its really good. Its really drying so remeber to use a oil free moisturiser :flower:

I finally took the step and got Accutane. I have been on antibiotics for several times now, and they never got rid of the problem permanently. They just made me want to always have that perfect skin which I had while on medication.

Are there other tFSrs out there who are on Accutane right now? How are you doing? After only seven days my lips are chapping already. But I am not too afraid of the side effects in general - I have promised myself that if my skin gets very dry, I can get some consolation from buying Chanel Teint innocence foundation. I have been craving it forever - but havent bought, because it didnt work on my oily skin!

^I went on tane last year - start slathering your face with cream now becasue it'll keep getting drier. I didn't even bother buying expensive face creams because i went through them so fast. My face would be bone dry about 5 mins after, lol. I just drenched my face in Nivea cream :)

Good luck though, just incase you do get any bad side effects :flower:

This stuff is truly amazing. I got a small sample from my dermatologist and after only one week of applying this to my face at night, I saw major results. My skin does no longer break out as badly as it used to, already existing zits are now much less noticable and my pores appear to be smaller.
I'm running out of it, though, and will probably have to get a new tube (it's 12€ for 30ml).

^^^^i was about to rave about this product!!!!!truly amazing satin chic!!!it made my skin's surface completely smooth in less than a week and it was full of bumbs and redness..i also recommend the effaclar a.i which is topical for blemishes..they are both perfect for under make up..no flaking, just smooth and matte skin.finally something that worked!hallelujah!

get some queen helene mint masque at CVS or Walgreens or whereever and loave a dab on the zit overnight. It sucks that little bugger right up:lol:

Really? I've seen this stuff before @ my local pharmacy. It's inexpensive, so I'll definitely have to give it a try + I read the reviews online & they were great to.

My acne has completely cleared up and I don't have a single zit left! I kind of regret that I only went to the derm so late because it was so easy getting rid of all the zits and stuff. The only problem i have left are a few tiny dark scars on my forehead but I'm going to the derm again to get rid of them

Can someone explain to me the essence of tinted moisturizers? Do they cover up blemishes and work as a lotion simultaneously? Recommendations to which one I should buy?

A tinted moisturiser, is very sheer. It's basically a light sheer foundation and moisturiser in one. It's best for light coverage. :flower:
