Her face is a map of the worldIs a map of the worldYou can see she's a beautiful girlShe's a beautiful girlAnd everything around her is a silver pool of lightThe people who surround her feel the benefit of itIt makes you calmShe holds you captivated in her palmSuddenly I see (Suddenly I see)This is what I wanna beSuddenly I see (Suddenly I see)Why the hell it means so much to meI feel like walking the worldLike walking the worldYou can hear she's a beautiful girlShe's a beautiful girlShe fills up every corner like she's born in black and whiteMakes you feel warmer when you're trying to rememberWhat you heardShe likes to leave you hanging on her wordSuddenly I see (Suddenly I see)This is what I wanna beSuddenly I see (Suddenly I see)Why the hell it means so much to meAnd she's taller than mostAnd she's looking at meI can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazineOh she makes me feel like I could be a towerA big strong towerShe got the power to beThe power to giveThe power to seeSuddenly I see (Suddenly I see)This is what I wanna beSuddenly I see (Suddenly I see)Why the hell it means so much to me

I liked it a lot. Some of the outfits were nice, and overall it was funny/cute. However, the book was a drag to read once you've seen the movie...hahaha.

I'm glad Meryl won for Best Actress (Comedy/Musical)! Loved her speech too

i was good but i question whether it was golden globe quality..its waas just a "cute" movie..I think it might have been trhe subject matter that got it wher it was.

oh, Emily blunt didn't took the award for her nomination for this movie, right?

oh forgot to say, i liked the soundtracks too, i thought they were girly which is pretty cute for a change ^_^

^ I also think Meryl deserved the win. I am glad that Anne Hathaway wasn't nominated though because even though she was very good in the role, it was not an award winning performance.

i finally saw it today.i loved it until the very disappointing "Doris Day" ending (i haven't read the book).
Meryl and Emily were fantastic.Anne was just good.
I loved Emily's style but Anne's was too "classic" for my taste

i have watched the movie and it was intriguing enough for me to go and get the book. i'm almost done reading all the chapters and to be honest, Lauren Weisberger keeps whinning and complaining. she is more concerned with letting out her bitter feelings in this book than to actually describe the workplace and powerful woman she works for. it was indeed written out of anger. she is so concerened with making herself appear superior to all those involved in fashion that it makes me want to slap her! she has no respect to other people's passion and for that, she deserves people not respecting what she likes. what's so ironic about all this is that the subject of the book that she tries to slur so much is indeed the only and sole reason for the success of the book. Anna wintour's name sold her book . The movie was on the other hand quite different and not as childish as the book.

apologize in advance for anyone that disagrees and likes the book!

I totally agree!!!

^ me three....

i love the book so much but the movie is not that bad just not as good as the book.

^I thought the movie was MUCH better than the book. A reviewer called the book "mean-spirited trash" or something in comparison to the movie. I agree with Ameera.

I agree, the book's ending is so bad and soo out of nowhere. I adore the movie, saw it for the 6th time two days ago.

I'm just watching the movie now- I always get this feeling of gleefulness and excitement in certain parts of the film, like when Nigel waves the Salvatore Ferragamo box around at the start (random) and when I catch sight of the occassional Birkin or 2.55 Chanel in the backgroud- love it!

Fake stuff in The Devil Wears Prada

I'm starting a post to point out all the fake stuff that makes up this super cool movie. The movie rocks but it has loads of fake events in it. This thread is ment to be fun and insightful on whats real and whats not with the events in the movie.

I'll start...
-with Andy borrowing clothing & accessories from the Vogue (I mean Runway) closet room, Runway could have so fired her *** for wearing the samples around, with everyone thinking she bought them herself.
