Whereas last season left me with a lot to choose from most of the shows this season left me cold or indifferent. Even those that I did like didn't quite blow me away.
Marc Jacobs - even though it didn't move me like his spring collection did I grew to like what Marc did with such banal ideas as glamour and sex.
Proenza Schouler - I didn't love all of the print mixing, but there were some truly gorgeous pieces in the collection.
Gucci - proof that this was an underwhelming season if the only thing that stands out from Milan was a show that I didn't even love all that much.
John Galliano - maybe my opinion would be different were it not for the huge sense of loss attached to the collection, but as it stands I felt it was one of his most beautiful in a while.
Alexander McQueen - compared to last season I felt that there was a much better balance of all the McQueen elements, though I feel like Burton hasn't quite reached the perfect balance in her runway collections.
Louis Vuitton - an incredible show, and a nice reinterpretation of the themes Marc played with for his own collection, though like his own collection this one didn't quite compare to spring either.
Honorable mentions: Vionnet (loved the styling), Balenciaga (loved the shoes), YSL (loved the all white finale), Mugler (loved the energy).
