The "Gay-est" Designer

Sort of off topic but thought id mention it:

I have always been interested in fashion design rowing up but didnt want to be seen as gay since I was so insecure. As I got older I cared less and less about what people thought and actually started to find it funny if people thought I was gay. In my 20's I started watching FTV and really loved Tom Fords Collections, I did some research and found out he studdied Architecture in college then got into fashion after he graduated. I thought to myself "cool .... finaly a strait fashion designer ....hmm I studied Architecture as well - maybe I can design too" - then i did some reasearch and found out he was not strait - then i saw McQueen and thought surely hes strait - again I was wrong - are there any strait male designers left? If you know of any I would be currious to know. (not that it matters)

i think this is quitew a stupid queston, however i do think you mean typical steryotypical gay clothes, wich not all gay men were.

Garavani Valentino possibly? Definetly Klein, Lauren, Abboud &c.
calvin klein?
he's also gay...he and kelly had an 'arrangement'. he was famously involved with perry ellis at the beginning of his career, who helped launch him. :flower:

I was just reading through Hello magazine and it mentioned female partners :ninja: It's an easy assumption to make... :innocent:

Ralph Lauren though? He's straight as a bracing run in the snow while shouting "I'm a real man I do man things, girls, girls, girls good for sex and nothing else", surely?

I was going to say...I'd have been seriously shocked if Ralph Lauren was gay...I'm sure he would never do anything that exciting...

Ok heres the list - add gay or strait if you know - us strait guys need role models too ;)
Just because a male designer is gay doesn't mean that he can't be your "role model." Do you not look up to John Galliano or Nicolas Ghesquiere because they are gay? Well good luck finding inspiration from Tommy Hilfiger and Kenneth Cole.

My god this is the strangest thread I've read here in a long time.

having an "arrangement" sounds fun...all the clothes, fun, luxury you can stand, and you dont have to turn on the faucet for him :woot:

I'm kidding.

Seriously -- why would someone ask this question unless they are unsure of their own sexuality. Pick one and move on...Its not a big deal, and frankly the subject is boring.

 chick, that is hilarious!

I don't get it. So just because someone is gay he can't be your role model because he is such? Shouldn't a role model be based on his skill.. not his sexual preference? Anyways good luck with.. errr... Tommy, Kenneth and Ralph.
