The Hair "Down There"

About first experiences I really thought it was going to be really hurtful I was surprised it wasn't as I imagined , of course hurts but it's really quick the pain doesn't last more than 3 min, I remember the women wouldn't give me a time to breath she was like "ready?" and I couldn't finish sayin "wait" and she had done it already haha so funny, so girls don't be scared and got for it!

I suggest for the ones going brazilian wax, black wax with spanish system

I wouldn't say the longer the hair the better. Because the longer if it's too long, I definitely think it's more painful. I think the 1/3 to 1/2 inch is a good length. Not too long that it's painful, not so hosrt that you can't grab hairs.

A good routine (imo) is to shower before you go to open the follicles, and soften the hair (plus it feels better knowing that i'm clean when someone is down there....) and then take two ibuprofen before heading out. Depending how sensitive you are, you might not want to be "intimate" with anyone that night though because it can irritate your skin. Not that I'm speaking from personal experience or anything.....:innocent:

Ok, bit off topic but...

"The smell down there."

It's not atrocious! It doesn't smell like a garbage disposal for one thing. I just know that it isn't pleasant IMHO. My friend said pineapple juice would fix that. As in, I have to drink it. Not apply it. :P Anyone know?

^^Without going into too much detail, I've heard the pineapple theory for men.......LOL. Think about it and it will make sense.
I have no idea how true that is, though.

I think it's the acidity in the pineapple juice that your friend might be talking about. I have no idea about the science behind it, and I can't say that I've heard of it working myself, but that might be what it's about. I know cranberry juice helps "clean out" the system when you have cystitis etc.

I had my first Hollywood today... Not as bad as I thought it would be! For people that have had this done, how long does it normally take to start growing back? I guess it's roughly the same for a brazillian?

xx

Heyy everyone, I havn't read through the entire thread but something that really helps out with razor burn and ingrown hairs and all of that is if you Rosebud Salve, I promise you guys, its like magic

^^I've never heard of Hollywood, I think that's just Brazilian (at least here is Brazilian known as a method where all of your hair is removed). Or I'm wrong, since we're so behind here. :D I'm getting one today, can't wait (not the pain though:lol:).

A hollywood is where they remove all the hair from front to back so your completely bald.. a brazilian is where they remove all the hair from front to back but leave a landing strip..

Thanks, I was wondering too. You know, I think different salons or regions make up different names. One old place I used to go (in Kailua) called everything 100% front and back off "Brazilian". The place I go normally now (in Indianapolis) calls 100% off in the front (but not the way back) "Brazilian" and if you want the back too it is "Sultan". I guess that is what I get because I just think it's all or nothing. Let it grow or take it off, I would think it's weird to have a start and stop place, like they didn't finish or something.^_^ And then the place I went last summer (in NY) called getting that extra strip in the way back in addition to everything in the front a "French Brazilian". SO yea, I think they just try to come up with names so they don't have to explicitly say the body parts on the services menu.

yeah ^ i thought a brazillian was where they took off all the hair also..

yeah, each salon is different, which is why when I call if I'm going somewhere new and they say 'do you want a hollywood or Brazilian' I ask "what do you considered a Hollywood/Brazilian..."

I prefer to get mine professionally done. I get good results and I don't have to worry about mishaps as much. The best thing is to research and see who people recommend.

At home wax kits can be a hit or miss, based upon how many times you've done them on yourself, if you use the products properly and what type of products you use.

As for home, I like the Gigi Honey wax. Very easy to work with.

id laugh so much if some one went in n ask for a brazillian (to remove all hair) and came out with a hairy butt crack still.

A brazilian here is also 'everything gone'  My other half doesn't actually like that, I was surprised :ninja:

Hi everyone! I just got my first brazilian yesterday... it was SO quick.. I would have preferred for the lady to go a bit slower! GEEZ. I mean she slathered hot wax on big sections and RRRRRRIPPPPP! Ouch. I especially hated the area by the clitoris (SORRY) haha but it's true. Mine didn't hurt too much afterwards, but I kept replaying those 2 parts that DID hurt.

I also didn't take painkillers before since my BF said I was overexaggerating and that it wouldn't do anything. Next time, I will for sure take painkillers and I will go to a different place that doesn't rush it. It took 10 minutes, and then she tweezed out about 10 hairs, but when I got home there was a couple longer hairs so I decided to tweeze them myself. I'm just glad I didn't get any swelling, redness, or bumps, etc.

Thanks to this thread I was prepared! Thanks girls

And.. funny story, my BF actually came in and watched it happen.. he was cringing at certain parts before she ripped off the hair so it would make me more anxious. Next time he is NOT coming in UGH!!!!

Dunno the names i mean yes Brazilian but Hollywood? bit lost with names maybe cause we call it here Brazilian or completely sort of
i would say wax, good specialist and completely off... i simply feel myself so much clean and it all depends of your type of hair and the professional ...i used to go to an English living around here - so well experienced one but with a crazy technique who was expensive btw, long painful way and she hurt me so bad last time i went...that she couldnt finish...she hurt me... i did bleed it was horrible!!!
Now im going to the same saloon i get done my hair and the girl who do all those things has a really harmless technique and she makes you feel comfortable and she make it goes faster plus chocolate was is awesome!!
(Never again shaving!!unless its a super emergency!)

Pink Princess
make him get his done and see how he cries like a little girl:lol:

you can use it for shaving everywhere.
conditioner.

But I have found if you run out of coochy cream :shock:a think hair conditioner will work as well
