The How Do I Get This Look? Thread

i was wondering if anyone had any tips to stop my eyes looking so red?
whenever i go shopping & catch sight of my eyes, they look horribly bloodshot and almost irritated.

i've figured that green eyeshadow is NOT going to help the problem - but do you have any other suggestions as to how to avoid it or what colours to avoid?

thanks.

I think this is more of an eyeball issue than a make-up issue. If it is burning or itching or anything, I'd go see your Dr. Other than that maybe try clear eyes eye drops? Also I know my dad takes some vitamins and they claim to help your eyes stay moist. It's an oral vitamin though, I forget what kind. It's not something you put in your eye though.

Also, I want to say I tried the look I asked for I bought kohl liner (rimmel kajal eye liner), MAC e/s in carbon, print, and filament, and new lashes. I love it! I'll post a pic maybe later. SO sexy and different from my usual invisible/natural make-up look.

Thank you ambidextrous!:flower:

Good eyedrops to combat the redness and stop eyes from itching, eye gel/cream and Diorskin Skinflash highlighter around the eyes, above brows and on the sides of the nose to make eyes look brighter:flower:

I like it better irl but here's a shot after I practiced. Not as dramatic as the original http://www.nordstrom.firstview.com/Backstage/Backfall2006/BS_SOMMER/00005.L.JPG)
but good for me.^_^

shoot! SOrry it looks so big:ninja:. I keep resizing it smaller in photobucket but it isn't making a difference. It looks like a cm square on my account. hmm....

it's really just a square cm  you could resize the big pic in MS paint (must be under "picture" - but my Win is in German...) or MS Words (just paste it and drag at the edges) or best with Adobe Photoshop (smth like picture - picture size). It already looks nice as a small pic, but I'm sure a bigger one looks even better!

oops.. that's so weird. It looked really big when I posted it so I kept on making it smaller. I wonder why that is....
one more time...

(geez, it looks huge when I first post it..maybe it takes a minute to adjust?)

kiss&tell:

a MA at the MAC counter once used curled my upper eyelashes with one of those metal curlers. And he put more mascara on the upper lashes, only a little on the lower. That made my eyes look huge.

I general I find that wearing some light color eyeshadow, like MAC Nylon on the lid makes my eyes look more awake/ bigger.

^ i think u can use those white shimmery pencil and draw a line under the lower lash:P

btw does anyone know what shade of teal a birght, smoky cat eys should i use if i have black/brown hair, lightish brown eyes and pale, creamy skin???

a couple of shimmery teal shades: MAC Shimmermoss e/s, Cargo Aegean, Lancome Color Design (don't know the shade number, but you'll certainly see it), MAC Teal Pigment (but this one is NOT EYESAFE!)

How about this one? How do I achieve this look? :)
I really like any type of natural look so this one appeals to me :)

How to do Thread

Hi gals!

I really need your help. I'm sure you guys know the make-up style Edie Sedgwick had. I like especially her eye make-up. She always had a kind of line in the eyelid crease, do you know what I mean?
It was a bit like here:

But nicer. Faye Dunaway and all those 60-icons used to wear it. Maybe you can find better pics.
Could someone tell me how to do this?? Pleeeease!
