Hi gals!

I really need your help. I'm sure you guys know the make-up style Edie Sedgwick had. I like especially her eye make-up. She always had a kind of line in the eyelid crease, do you know what I mean?
It was a bit like here:

But nicer. Faye Dunaway and all those 60-icons used to wear it. Maybe you can find better pics.
Could someone tell me how to do this?? Pleeeease!

Sephora has a reference picture that is a little like what you are talking about (it has the big eyelashes and wide-eyed look)....

Kanojo-- I'm not fabulous with make-up, but Mischa's look seems pretty easy. Pink blush like NARS Angelika on the cheeks, possibly a light eyeshadow on the eyelids (a light dusting of white always seems to go well w/ cat-eyes).

From the picture, it looks like she used a liquid black eyeliner to create the outward cat-eye look (starting from the inner eye and working out) and then used either fake lashes and/or a mascara that separates the lashes (I have Maybelline lash stylist mascara that does a good job of that).

For the lips, I think NARS makes a really good gloss in that shade (try Sephora.com for a list of the colors).

It takes a bit of practice (and a steady hand) to get the perfect cat-eye look. If you want a step-by-step reference, try doing a search on words like 'cat eye' or just 'cat' in this thread. A few months back I did a post on how to do a cat-eye, so hopefully that will come up.

I would guess they used a good base in golden tones with illuminating fluid (perhaps Benfit's High Beam), a creamy pastel rose on the lips (like Mac's Snob cream lipstick) and then a set of false eyelashes and a light coat or two of a gel mascara. I think the model has neutral champagne and nude colours contouring her eyes lightly and a sheer apricot blush on her cheeks.

I'd say she used a natural foundation, barely any blusher but highlighter on the cheeks and under the brows. The lips are lined in a similar red to the lips and sealed with a shiny gloss. Looks a lot of masacara on the bottom and top lids and fake eyelashes. Perhaps a touch of eyeliner to the sides to emphasise the lashes. Super groomed brows too
