Hey thanks!love the wall & staircase in your recent post, Janne Peters^
it's a really *great* colour paletteDid you design this yourself, oiltrash?
I like the use of lighting.. it seems to be directional, it lets you move from place to place. Also like you've added the one giant red vase and plant
What are you using for wall paper?
thank you oiltrash for sharing! i really love your style of decorating, so simple and classy!
and omg do i love the colour coordinated bookshelf! id like to share a secret with you guys... im kinda..addicted to arrange everything by colouryou should see my closet

thanks so much susanna!![]()
thank you lots!!!love it oiltrash. nice job. there are some really great posts in this thread - so much inspiration.
Haha, thanks delonge, I actually didn't even consider how distracting it would be to constantly have my own face right in front of me while trying to study! Luckily the scale of the mirror is a bit exaggerated in that image so in reality there would be space to move it up the wall and still have it looking relatively centred.
^ i like the colour coded books; it appeals to the obsessive compulsive in me!
I love the design delonge and ultimately it depends on your work/life habits but just a couple things to keep in mind. Depending on how big/small your flat is, you may consider reversing the dark/light paint scheme. While I love a big bold dark wall, like you, my dark wall is the one that receives the light exposure and if I had to do things again, I probably would have reversed the color scheme because I live in a small flat with individual lamps (ie no overhead lights) and it would have made things brighter in the day. This may not be an issue for you though. Also - would it be awkward to do your work facing a wall with your back to the open room? I find this an awkward way to sit, and most people tend to have their backs to the wall, facing out to the rest of the room. But like I said - it depends on your habits. It looks great though and I love the built in shelves![]()
