Oh wow, that staircase/bookcase is amazing! :woot: I'd made excuses to go up and down the stairs instead of avoiding them!

Thanks for sharing, AgrenateD!

I love the library/steps idea; it looks amazing. But I'm careful with my beautiful books, so I'd be worried that if I had something like that, that I was bringing dirt near them when walking up the stairs!

i'm a bibliophile as well so if i had this library.. then i'd walk barefoot

i'm glad i found this thread  another dream flat, i'm such a sucker for whitewashed rooms with hints of color

I love unhappy hipsters. I came across that site weeks ago but I haven't remembered to keep checking it.

I also love this.

i think so too :-)

i watched Ghost on tv the other day -i love demi's apartment.. they were building it in the beginning of the movie. an open plan with lots of columns, a spiral staircase. the colour reminds me of campino candy

can only find one pic on the net...

Love the white and wood. The wood provides so much warmth while keeping the shapes minimal.

My boyfriend and I just moved and are looking for some furniture odds and ends but it seems so difficult in London. I really want to find some vintage and used furniture but at affordable prices which seems impossible. Does anyone have any recommendations of vintage or second-hand shops with furniture? A lot of the places selling "vintage furniture" do so at such high prices.

i have to be honest, the #1 reason i watch Ghost is because of the apt. i just love the decor and the giant windows:D

oh, now that just isn't for me. not at all. to each their own, by all means, but the black&white combo for furniture just doesn't flick my switch.

I was cleaning up my PC and found this pic taken at my place. Thought I'd share before I send it to the dustbin

Hi Guys

Loving this thread for ideas and thoughts...

Im currently waiting on a new build house and thinking how to dress it up...

I want it to have a winter and a summer persona but easily changed by touches such as cushons candles throws etc...

Has anyone any summer or winter insperations for me... Im thinking a lot of sheepskin rugs and fur throws for the winter and lots of cotton and candles for the summer....

Any ideas!

I bought this last month in Nigeria...it is a traditional Marriage decoration. Very very heavy due to the antique brass pouch + all the beads.

I was thinking of either hanging it directly onto a white wall with an industrial hook or, having a black canvas/wooden board made, and then having a hook come through it to place it on it...if that makes sense.
Any ideas?

I think it would get lost in the black. It would also get lost on a wall. I would do a white canvas board in a black frame.

Or a wooden frame with blue or black matte on white background.
