Cannot stress enough how amazing Stranger Things is on Netflix, and how everyone needs to watch it!

Perfect combination of sci-fi, horror, 80s, comedy, amazing actors... ugh everything. So fun, all 8 episodes.

^^^ It’s just... alright.

Very much overhyped for its nostalgia joyride. Never was a fan of Spielberg (can’t stand E.T. LOL), Stephen King, X-Files, etc so this show doesn’t rile me up the way it does for many.

The kid that plays Dustin is a thousand goldmines and he’s the reason I watched it till the end. Winona is a tad annoying as the unhinged mum and I can’t get the hype with her either— she’s always “Winona Ryder” in every role she’s ever in— which means she’s eternally her “Heathers” character.... The rest of the cast are good for looking very “80s” but is that a (bad) wig Winona’s character's older son is wearing…???

And why is the Bangle’s 1988 song “Hazy Shade of Winter” used for a show that’s set in 1983?
