The Leg Thread - Toning, Firming and Questions

Shape of your legs depends on your genes - it is hard to change it and it is almost impossible. Women are not "set" to gain muscules - look at fitness girls - they have to eat A LOT amino acids and proteins to gain muscules! So don´t worry about it and enjoy exercising you like :)
 
I have nice toned legs. But I'm scared to expose my legs because I have visible green/blue bloodlines...what do to? If I get browner would it still be visible?
 
I have only one running time. Usually that is at 16:00 or 17:00 o `clock; I started running some sort of professional 3 months ago. At the beginning I could hardly ever run 9 minutes, but I ran what I could, added every day a few steps more ( I run everyday, from the very beginning on! If I don`t run one day I can`t beat myself up the sofa to run the next day..). So it came that I was at 40 Minutes. So I added every second day 5 minutes.
Now I am at 60 minutes, I try to keep the level;
or run less but faster^^
and I shower cold after that :-)

Oh I'd love to run for one hour, but I can't!! At the gym I run on the threadmill, but no more than 5 minutes, and then walk, then faster, run again but I can't manage to run more than 5minutes.. :doh:
 
i cant run, i just cant. i love walking tho, i can walk for miles and miles, seriusly, but run? hell no, after three minutes im throwing my guts out of exhaustion. so i stick with walking, just as fast as i can. but no running for me.
 
u can work ur way up tho.. I wasn't able to run before for more than 10 mins...but i forced myself into 20 mins..and then slowly to 30 then to 40...but i can run for an hr sometimes.. It's just that... its soo boring on a treadmill. I can only run for 60 mins if i have something on my mind and stuff myself w/ a whole lot of calories that day (bubble tea will do the trick)
 
^I think my main problem is that I get bored so easily so I don't have things to think about while working out and I quit the gym. :ninja:
 
i like walking where theres people or something to look at. people passing by, walking dogs, cars, shops or anything that keeps me busy looking at, evach days is going to be different than the other. it works for me better than the gym
 
I've never been able to run long distance but I try to alternate walk -run-walk and it feels great.
 
Run every day, seriously it's so good. I have been doing it for a week and I have noticed HUGE results, I have visible muscle on my thighs, it is seriously the best thing. Listen to some loud music whilst running. I run on my running bike or whatever it's called.
This is quite random:
It is so good to listen to some loud dance music whilst excercising because apparently you excericise better and you thrust better and do the moves better because of the beat or whatever. It's true.
I read it somewhere, just thought I'd mention it.
 
^ I do the same... music is very important to me while exercising, running, biking etc. at home, it is more fun :flower:
