The Lips thread, all you need to ask and know...

This may sound stupid...Oh well

But is it normal to have chapped lips if you go days without wearing lipgloss or lipstick? My lips have been flaky lately..

Yeah, it is normal, especially if you don't use lip balm.

I use Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream on my very dry lips, it works wonders, it stinks though.

I love Blistex in Lip Tone. Usually I dab a little Vaseline or some other clear lip moisturiser first...then add the Blistex. Looks super natural, soft and smooth, with a nice tint of lippie colour  Doesn't have that fake glossy look too

I've always had a fascination with women who have this rim around their lips. (Credit: Anthropologie.com) I already kind of have it, but I like to accentuate it with a light brown pencil. I don't use so much that I look dirty though. Is this tacky?

I was wondering if anyone else has tried lip fusion -- that new lip gloss that was given the good housekeeping seal of approval and winning raves everywere. It has micro collagen that is absorbed by your lips and then it plumps using your actualy body water.....And it has a sheer gloss with a slight orange and vanilla taste...really nice.

I just bought it but it is $40!!!! and i'm not sure if i visually see a difference or not. Ppl have said it definitely works and i have to say when i put it on, my lips start to get numb....the effects of plumping is supposed to last like hours -- unlike DuWop's lip venom which is temporary....

So -- anyone else try it? Wondering what you thought!!
you can check it out on their website too: lipfusion.com

I loved Lipfusion,I actually saw a difference in my lips which usually never happens for me.
Here's a comparision pic of my lips

I had to stop using it though because after a few times I started to get all these marks across my cheeks and chin,it looked like someone with sharp nails attacked my face.

But try lipfusion atleast 3 times and hopefully it wont happen to you because as a lip plumper its awesome!

payement: You MUST HAVE to ensure that your lip liner is invisible and well blended, otherwise, it is too tacky.... If you discover that it's too difficult to blend the liner, you can have the same effect by lining the lips with your foundation or concealer before lipstick.

i know that this is a long-shot, but could someone please help ID this lipgloss brand & colour or something similar? huge thanks in advance!!

full lips = lipstick on my chin?!?

I generally love having full lips like Angelina Jolie or Scarlet Johanson or whoever. It's usually more of a blessing than a curse. But when I wear a dark colored lipstick it's horrible! Sometimes I'll get back pictures and see a little smudge of my lipstick in the middle of my chin! It's embarrassing, like having lipstick on your teeth or looking like a five year old playing with mommy's make up! It happens when I wear clear gloss or pale lip colors as well, it's just less noticable. Sometimes if I'm out a friend will tell me and I wipe it off (just like if you had lipstick in your teeth or something). Othertimes not and I have to keep checking. It makes me self-conscious about wearing lip color at all but I don't want to deprive myself. And a deep red or rich berry can look oh so lovely.

Does anyone else have this problem? What do you do? Just keep checking it? Is there some kind of sealer for lipstick so it won't get on your chin?

And by the way, I have full lips but I'm not a monkey. I think it's probably something that happens if I make certain facial expressions or sip my drink a certain way. My lips aren't literally hanging on my chin, they just bump it I guess.

anything about this color or brand that sells sth. like this color???

imaxtree

^For the first one, I would suggest MAC Lacquer in Veneer or MAC Up the Amp Lipstick mixed with a bright pink.

The second one - Try these MAC Lipstick colors: Pretty Please, Russe, High Tea, Frou, Tanarama.

Hope that helped. :flower:

this may be a really weird question
but if you have really pouty lips
is it better to accentuate them with a bold color, or go with a nude color? opinions, anyone?

My suggestion would be to take your cues from Angelina Jolie. She usually wears a lot of nudes or light pinks, but she's not afraid to wear a red lip now and then.

I guess I would say it's safer to stick to nudes too just because of my question in my other post. I have full pouty lips and sometimes my bottom lip hits my chin and dark lipsticks leave an embarrassing spot on my chin and nude lipsticks are less noticable. That said I wore Loreal's HIP Driven lipstick today. Dark lipsticks look more dramatic onfull pouty lips so it's even more important to play down the rest of your face. I just had to keep checking the mirror to make sure it didn't get on my chin. SO seriously, no one else has had that happen to them? Even the girls with full lips?

Well all I care for is Lucas Paw Paw ointment(litereally the BEST thing ever xD) and Maxfactor lipfinity.

MAC..seems to be cheap in the US but in aussie its not exactlyy the cheapest thing =.='

Has anyone tried the sugar sugar lip topping by Revlon? Is it actually that nice like in the ad?Any recks please!!

^I have the Sugar Sugar Lip Topping in Snowflake, and my recommendation is don't bother. It's not like it looks in the ad; you look more like you just did a faceplant on the beach.
