The MAC Makeup Thread #2

Do you want it because it looks pretty? I always want pigments when I see them in the store but I don't like using them  I only have two MAC pigments and I bought both because they looked pretty and shimmery :innocent:

I have probably 7 pigments that I love but never use because they are so messy. I always end up with sparkles all over my face for DAYS.
I really only use them for special occasions which stinks b/c Dazzleray (I think) is one of my faves and I'd use it a lot if it wasn't a mess every time.

Pigments take a lot of time to put on compared to normal eyeshadow..I'm really careful when I put it on my lids or else as you said you'll have it all over you face and you apartment

Has anybody have experiecnes with the Mac Face and Body foundation? I am thinking about buying it - my skin is good, I just blush very fast or get red cheeks when I am outside...does it cover enough for that?
It is waterbased...so can I use in winter or does it freeze?
Of course it can cause broken capillaries, everything water-based on your face can do that.
It doesn't have a lot of coverage, and it probably wouldn't cover a lot of redness. It covers the broken capillaries around my nose. I love it though, it makes your skin look SO good

Ooooh...BF got me a belated birthday present, a 165 brush  Now I DEF don't need more brushes!

LOL yes, that's exactly why I want it! I have one Barry M dazzle dust in the shade Petrol (I think that's what it's called...) and it's so pretty but such a hassle to use. I cannot possibly imagine the mess if I sneezed or something

^I know what you mean..I get paranoid just by opening the lid.

The new I Get No Kick kohl looks awesome.

^^Gorgeous! Is it permanent or limited edition?

Just got MAC's creamblush in ladyblush. It's my first creamblush actually. It's unreasonably cold here atm, lots and lots of snow.. and altough my skin doesn't feel dry, it looks dry/dull when I use powder products. Never had this problem before. I'm open to anything that can give me nice, dewy skin^_^.

does anyone have any good recommendations for a good under-eye concealer from mac?

The Studio Finish concealer is crap, photographs really bad. You need to go a shade lighter with the Studio Sculpt concealer, which is OK. Don't remember how it photographs. If you don't need a lot of coverage, go for the Select Moisturecover.

I just bought the studio finish concealer... :(. I don't use it as an undereye concealer though, it's too dry and emphasizes my fine lines. I only use it on blemishes/redness around my nose...etc. I got it in NW15, but it's slightly too light. NW20 is too dark, should I go for an NC15 then?

I also got Naked lunch e/s that I want to use along with Bronze e/s and Chanel rouge coco in Mademoiselle for a Christmas look. Naked lunch actually differs more from Schroom e/s (which I also own) than I thought. Schroom is more neutral.

you don't seem to be happy with it:cry:
I wanted to try it out, because the pixiwoo girls were using it and they said it's a good concealer. I love my BB cremy concealer, but I just wanted smth new:lol:

I was referring to Ida's comment about the studio finish concealer, that it photographs really bad (but I haven't experienced that yet, I haven't been on any photo's since I got it ;-)).
I'm actually quite happy with it! It's really good for concealing blemishes or redness. Personally I prefer more liquid consistencies for under my eyes, but the pixiwoo girls seem to love it for that too...
I actually wanted to buy BB concealer but can't seem to find it in stores here and bc I don't like to order online, I just got the studio finish instead :D.

^The pixiwoo girls have been using it because they couldn't find anything with more coverage, but they complain about it in photos too. They seem to like both the BB creamy concealer and studio finish. The Creamy Concealer can actually be used under the eyes, it's not dry at all

Just be warned that the Studio Finish is very dry and cakey compared to BB Creamy Concealer. Studio Finish doesn't layer well either. It does have slightly more coverage though, but it also has SPF 35, which is the reason it looks crap on photos.

But they both work/worked for MAC right? If I worked at MAC and got loads of free/cheap stuff I would use it too..:innocent: I don't want to buy any MAC products here because I know they're overprices:doh:.

^They don't any longer. They get nearly all their stuff for free, so I trust their opinions.
