The MAC Makeup Thread

^ i saw the plushlash at the mall, it is okay on time but since i was in the rush, i dunno what exactly i should tell you....
i think it is the brush who did the trick, or i did get enough mascara from the tube
btw when will they have the mineralize skin finish (the one is pastel pink or coral) again??? I saw it in eve (the uk magainze) and they still have it?!?!

^ for the Mineralize Skinfinishes, it depends on which one you want. i have a few that i bought at counters awhile after the collections they were a part of had sold out. they have Gold Spill and Global Glow still available on the site. :flower: if neither of those is what you were looking for, perhaps you can call around to different counters? i know the ones near me tend to hold onto these for awhile after the collections come down.

Mattene is up on the MAC site! these are supposed to give a classic matte finish while feeling a little more creamy and comfortable on the lip. i'm really interested in the bright reds and pinks!

aside from the benefit of recycling, i'd really love to have all my MAC shadows at hand, in the same place. i tend to look around forever for each one when they're singles.

That was my problem too...whenever I would do my eye makeup my countertop in the bathroom was completely covered w/ eyeshadows. It saves so much space!

jjbunny - the MSF's are really pretty in person, I almost bought one when they first came out.

Has anyone seen the holiday collection? The brush sets look nice and there will be 2 different pigment sets!

I will never put my money into those little brush sets from holiday or special editions, because they're really cheap quality.

I love the mineral skinfinish, I apply a tiny bit of strobe cream on my cheekbones and with the 187 brush, i do thin and very quick strokes of the mineral skinfinish powders, to get that shiny glass look

I've been meaning to buy more brushes for my collection, and I haven't had any time to go down and check them out and try them, but im wondering if anybody here has tried this brush, and if they can provide any feedback, and if it really does work as magically as the description on the mac site says.

I bought the 182 2 months ago, so far I love it! The hairs are very soft and my mineral makeup looks smooth, polished and shiny (yeah, actually happy about shiny skin :innocent:) I used the 180 before and that one stings like crazy in comparison. I never tried mineral makeup with my 188 (smaller version of the 187), but I think the 182 will provide more coverage since the bristles are so dense

a big part of me thinks that makeup brushes are the biggest money-making scam ever. my sonia kashuk brushes from target have served me well.

Ale I have that one, bought it based on the many rave reviews I heard where it was praised in comparison to other kabuki brushes. It's so incredibly soft and dense.. great at buffing color to a polish only drawback for me is that mine have shedded a few hairs.. nothing major tho.

I don't think so...
I think you get a very different result from a good brush vs. a bad one....
Notice I said good vs. bad...
not expensive vs. cheap...
b/c like you said the SK's from Target are really good and not pricey.
Target carries another cheaper line that is pure crap....
puts the product on in huge gobs and doesn't blend well.

I think MAC makes some really great brushes and compared to alot of other lines they are mid priced I would say.

I agree, I love mac brushes too!!!

what is this mineral makeup everyone is talking about? does it provide good coverage and give that glowly look?

on a side note, im a big fan of the recycle program, since I depot all my shadows, i have tons and tons of empty eyeshadow pots that I take back and exchange for lipsticks and lipglasses, loves it.

i-d the blush, i thought maybe Angel but didnt they discontinue that?

im looking for a good pale pink blush. right now i use Pink Swoon which is nice because it is sheertone but its very bright, i want something more subtle. i bought Stray Rose before and it was too harsh on my pale skin(cool).

@kissablekae: Giorgio Armani makes a decent pale pink blush, it's the #2 color. #1 would be a tad cooler and without shimmer AFAIK
