The MAC Makeup Thread

I got a bad eyeshadow from them. It had stuff growing in it, there was obvious mold in there. I was very disgusted. It was plum dressing, I ordered it offline and it was like that when I got it in the mail. Has anyone had something similar happen with MAC, or hell any eyeshadow.

^^

OMG! You should contact MAC CS immediately. They are so super good. They'll probably send you out a new one along with other stuff to make up for that! That's so gross, they need to know!

^ OMG! Never ever have I received anything that wasn't high quality! You need to send it back and alert them!!

brokenenglish - you are so lucky that gleam looks good on you! The lustre's look horrible on me; i put them on and all I get is glitter all over my face! I had gleam and mythology but I got rid of them in a MUA swap b/c of that!

I have had the stray glitter problem but I think putting the shadow on with a wet brush or just applying it normal with a tissue under your eye helps.
:flower:

Even though I love Gleam lustres aren't my fave.
I really like the veluxe pearl.
My favorite of those are Say Yeah (SE- pretty sure) and Expensive Pink.

I brought it into the store with the invoice here and they replaced it on the spot. They were really sweet about it.

Actually, the first time I bought their clear lipglass it smelled pretty bad....I just didn't know if it was normal. duhh!!! I eventually brought it into a MAC counter, and they replaced it. I haven't had that problem since. I remember the guy at the counter looking at me like I wasn't all there - I don't think he wanted to smell it, but at the same time he had to. I saw him smell it when he walked away with it though hehe

Lipglasses do lose their scent fairly quickly in my experience. The worst product re: scent had to be the lipglass Tastees from few years ago. Brand new they were scented like watermelon, peach and other yummy scents. A couple weeks after, they were like melted plastic scented. So gross. Which really sucks because the colors of the lipglass were really pretty but the scent made them unwearable!

^^
Really? I've had two and I thought I had smelled a faint vanilla scent in both of them.

I toss lip items once they smell plastic-y...Powders last a really long time, if not forever.

I have a question regarding the fluidline. I bought it in Blacktrack and I love it except when I curl my eyelashes, it tends to rub off on my eyelash curler. Then I have to go back and re-apply the fluidline. Does anybody else have this problem? Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Oh and I can't really put it on after I curl my lashes cuz I have Asian lashes and they uncurl if I don't apply mascara right away.

^ I haven't had that problem b/c I don't curl my lashes but I think maybe if you waited a few between putting on the liner and curling the lashes it might not happen.
Give the liner a little time to dry.

You could also wait until it dries so it doesn't smudge. If that doesn't work, you can apply it and not put the curler far back where it touches the eyelid.
