The Mascara Thread

I use Lancome Definicils with Cils booster (seriously the BEST ever), and I use a hair dryer to heat up my lash curler, it works quite well.

I have been using Maybeline Full N Soft...

IT IS THE BEST!

It does not stiffen your lashes and it gives you full ones...my eyelashes look like fans! I love it!...

If you use enough mascara to finish it in a month, I recommend :

Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
( it dries off after a month, the only downpoint ) + it smells so nice.

Otherwise I recommend : Lancome Hypnose

My eyelashes are incredibly long naturally, so I have little need for the lengthening properties of certain mascaras. I just prefer a fuller, more dramatic look.

I recently bought MAC's Fibre Rich mascara, which certainly does lengthen the lashes... but that's about it.

Diorshow is my ultimate pick; it does everything. :flower:

After reading this thread, I'm torn between getting Lancome Hypnose and Diorshow.

Uhmm..YSL didn't work for me..it made my already flat lashes flatter, and didn't hold the curl when I curled them with an eyelash curler. :ermm:

Lancome Hypnose weighed down my lashes... It smells too. Other than that, volume and thickness wise, I have no complaints

breathe, what's your favourite mascara? I'm always interested in what mascara Asian gals like to use. :flowers:

Me, too. :( Makeup Addict reviews say both tend to clump...so I would have to get a comb. Does a clean mascara wand work as a comb, or do I need to actually buy one?

Ladies, I just got Fantastic Lash by Cover Girl the other day, (I think it was 5.99) and it looks like Im wearing false eyelashes. Use a comb in between coats before it dries, I used two coats, and its amazing.....:woot:

hm... well, actually, I'm still experimenting around. But I did like MAC splashproof lash for some reason. Its the only mascara I've used till the tube was practically empty. ^_^

I just bought Anna Sui Super Mascara Waterproof in fuschia pink. The color's really hot and it really works! I went swimming with it on and it never ran or came off, even if you rub your eyes. Also it doesn't clump or flake. I totally recommend it! ( Diorshow waterproof is also really good too!)

I have tried many Asian brands (Anna Sui, Watosa, Fasio, Kanebo, Canmake, Dramatical, Deja Wu etc.,) and non Asian brands (MAC, Stila, Lancome, T&T etc.,) but my HG is still an Asian drugstore brand - ZA Cutie Curl - I have very very pathetic lashes, they are short, sparse and they do not even curl. I cannot even use those metal eyelash curlers cos they do not even reach my lashes :P The ZA Cutie Curl is cheap, only US$4 and I just need 2 coats and it coats my lashes evenly and shows up very well. I do not even need to curl my lashes or use a base coat !

I have tried all the more expensive brands but I always land on this one from Loreal: Double Extension. It is amazing.. My eyelashes are very long from before though, but when I use this they get extremely long and with a great thick to them. It is amazing! I love it! And I recommend it for everyone! Just remember to let the white drye first, the longer you wait before you apply "2" the better it looks, to my experience.

More for less money! :D

for all the other asian gals here I highly recommend shu uemura's "lash repair" It's not mascara but I think it can be used as a base? anyways what it's REALLY good for is making your eyelashes longer! it really works, but it is a bit pricey.

I'm thinking about maybe investing in my very first tube of overpriced mascara. I'm debating between Benefit BadGal lash and DiorShow. For the past year I've been using Loreal's Double Extension, and its got me curious...do the mascaras with fibers weaken your lashes? Or even mascara in general?
