The Mascara Thread

i've loved Lancome - but found their formulas have changed and not worth the price in the long-run...

can you believe this:
i've found COVER GIRL
yes - COVER GIRRRRRL
to be freakin' good!!!
:woot:

i'm loving SUPER THICK LASH by Cover Girl
it's just about $6CAD a pop
and will last 2months max...
gives me thick long lashes, no smudging, no flakes, and easy to remove.

i'm on my 6th tube now, and only once did i get a bum tube
- ie. ddin't do as great a job as the other 5 tubes as was a little dry
but still did a better job than most drugstore mascaras
= not a bad risk considering the price

Gemma Ward like Rimmel Extreme Definition Mascara - she says: I love the tiny comb.

Have anyone of you tried it?

I've been using Clinique "Long pretty lashes",
but I think I'll go with DiorShow once I finish it.

I loove Love LOVE Dior Show. I just finished mine and I'm in the market for another one and possibly a new Lancome L'Extreme mascara or YSL. I also want to try the new MAC one..I'm totally intruiged by the nylon in the mascara thing but also worried about how this nylon might get into ones eyes. I tend to forget to take my makeup off at night. Does anyone know how the MAC one with the nylon bits actually feels/looks?

i have walked the aisles of sephora for hours looking for the best...... opinions?
light, defining and lengthening but not too thick..... who do you think makes the best?

Several of the Cliniques fit the bill - maybe try the curling one? Though my eyes were sensitive to all. I default to Origins' basic lash mascara for the aspects you mentioned. For a more done-up look, I'm currently trying Bourjois in a brown (I think it's the lengthening one) but not so sure about that.

What do you get from the Lancome Flextencils - say vs. Definicils?

OMG Ania~^^^^ I just bought MAC Fiber LAsh. I could have bought the L'extreme, i feel like I should have bought it

I had Dior Maximeyes but I don't think it was a good mascara :(
I was going to buy it after my YSL finishes, whats so bad about it?Another question which is better Benefit Bad Lash Gal or DiorShow? they seem to have very similar brushes..

Just to get back to you all. I would like to say that I didnt like both L'extreme and fiberlash because they really irritated my eyes. I slept over at my boyfriend's house and when I woke up in the morning there was partially blind! It was really hard to see the tv and my eyes were so blurry. I hated it. It happened again 2 days later. Than I just dumped it.

I was considering the mascara at first, but u saved me from wasting money ^_^

All the mascaras from Lancome are great, among the cheaper brands I love Panoramic Curl from L´oreal.

extracils from chanel for long silky lashes. Great gel based formula

Would you say this is a good option for those of us who are pale/delicate (ha) enough that sometimes really done lashes look too 'hard' or overwhelming?

I'm thinking mainly in a brown or brown/black.

Do you use a mascara base w/the Chanel?

I'm using DiorShow right now and it's amazing. It's the best waterproof mascara I've found so far!
