OK, tried the Dior Maximeyes on one eye and the lengthening on the other - the Dior lengthening is SO much better than Maximeyes!

^ Someon in another thread commented on that it's a good mascara if you're going for a natural look and it seperates the eyelashes very well, hope that helps somewhat

It definitely was on me. In comparison the Maximeyes looked a little flakey or spidery on the lashes. The lengthening did a great job of giving me smoother, silky velvet lashes... still filled them out but in a more congruous way. And it didn't make them spikey or too separated or any of those other negative things that sometimes lengthening mascaras do.

i've never used it, but Full and Soft gets good reviews on MakeupAlley.

i did like the effects of the mascara w/ the eensy teeny brush (forget the name) but it smudged too much for me.

Hmm... tried and am liking Physician's Formula creme mascara (It's in a tiny toothpaste-like tube). About $5. This is giving me effects more like the Dior lengthening mascara, very lush but natural.

I tried Maybelline's curling mascara and it just gave me p*rn lashes.

NEVER buy Biotherm Looping mascara... It's horrible!! Everything you don't want a mascara to do, it does!!! Some of their makeup are awesome, but that one sucks!

What do you recommend is better : Diorshow, Lancome Hypnose or MAC mascara? Also which of these comes in black/brown ... which I have to wear because I'm blonde.

To the question about Maybelline mascaras... do NOT get the curling one. I think I remember good results from Volum Express and there may have been some reason I didn't like the Full & Soft.

I'm pretty picky, hating spikey sparse separated lashes, detesting gloppy fibrous mascaras and too-fake or non-lengthening types. What I like are velvety-looking lashes that seem natural but lush, like you're some baby with naturally amazing plentiful deep lashes. The ones I like below seem to increase the width of the lashes at the base so it's almost like an eyeliner effect, and then lengthen but don't make the end of the lash look really thick, heavy and coated.

The ones I like are:
-Dior's lengthening
-YSL Faux Cils
-creme mascara from Physician's Formula
-Maybelline Volum Express
-Maybelline clear - for when you need very very very minimal gloss
-Origins basic mascara - for when you need an ultranatural look

A few that just do not make it at all for me are:
-Clinique's (sting and make my eyes red)
-the other Diors
-Maybelline's curling one
-Bourjois lengthening (makes my eyes red, but was good otherwise)
-KissMe washable mascara
-several others I've forgotten the name of

i'm getting pretty tired of my usual black/dark brown mascara, so what colored mascara would you recommend for very dark brown asian eyes? but i want something that will just give a tint of color, nothing too dramatic

^ try something with blue or indigo or purple.
if you want to start off safely, go with a blue-black first..
a lot of mascaras have that option.

Is anyone else using DiorShow? I find it smudges horribly...even after 10 minutes! Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it just the mascara?

Ones I like:

Shu Uemura Basic
Shu Uemura extension one

I'd like to try YSL faux cils next..is it more lengthening or volumizing?
