i'm getting pretty tired of my usual black/dark brown mascara, so what colored mascara would you recommend for very dark brown asian eyes? but i want something that will just give a tint of color, nothing too dramatic

I think blue/violet would look good. I'm asian too though, and I have a hard time finding colored mascara that shows up on my dark lashes.. but if you're only looking for a subtle hint of color it'll prob work. IO think a blue or a violet would look amazing.

i ended up buying dior maximeyes in violet, but since my hair is so dark, you can barely notice any color

I'm so sad I just bought DiorShow and I think I got a bad batch! The mascara smells funny and it's all clumpy on the brush... it's weird! I still have the receipt but I never returned makeup before so I don't know if I can do it or not...

I wish I could buy YSL Faux Cils, but I can't find it in Canada or at least in Montreal...

Oh it's a sad sad day for me (pity party)

hate it when that happens! did you get it from sephora? they have a pretty good return policy. aww i had a faux cils up for swap on MUA a few days ago =(

L'Oreal Lash Architect is my personal favourite however right now I am using Avon Extraordinary Lengths and I like it.

They never wanted to take it back! They said it looked used... I'm sorry, but Dior just lost me, never again will I buy makeup from them ... I'm so mad! 30$ down the drain... Grrrrr!

Your not the only one I bought Dior show about 2 weeks ago and i thought it was a waste of money! it smells funny and it doesnt even make my eyelashes long or thick..

I'll vote for L'oreal, among more affordable:
Las Architect - u have to get used to it, but its really great!
As about that new x12 - really good only for lower lashes

I have, and it's great for lengthening but not so good for thickening the lashes. If you want the 'spidery' look it's ideal. I'm a total convert of the fibre type if mascara, and the best I ever used was Magical Curl by a brand called Chic Choc, japanese I think. Currently I'm using Stila Fibre optics which is good for lengthening and thickening but clumps a bit easly though.

Random fact about me : My lower lashes are perfectly curled and longer than my upper ones. People think the lower lashes are fake ones, but my upper lashes are short!

All right, I have a question for all of you crazy mascara addicts out there. If you could help me out, I'd be most pleased!

A girlfriend of mine was saying how she tried this fabulous Dior mascara, but didn't want to splurge on it. She said it was their new one. Is that the DiorShow mascara?

I would like to surprise her with a gift.

Previous mascaras I have used include Bad Gal Lash by Benefit, Lash in a Tube(i got it from ulta, i think it's by physicians formula). Now I am using Stila Fiber Optics and it is the best out of the other ones I have tried so far, but I like very dramatic lashes and it's good, but just not giving that extra oomph if you know what i mean

Yesterday I bought the new L'Oreal volume shocking mascara and I tried it out, and i dont like it!! I'm very disappointed, though I've only put it on once. It's very liquidy and just stuck my lashes together and i dont think it ever dried. I also didn't see much change in volume. I had heard some good reviews on that mascara in magazines, but I'm going back to my old bottle of Stila Fiber Optics. However, it's almost gone so I think I will try DiorShow next.....

I just bought a YSL eggplant mascara, and it makes my eyes look so green! Also, it lengthens better than anything I've tried.

it could be their diorshow icepearl that puts little crystals on the tips of the lashes. that's the only new mascara they have.
