A lot of those women aren't taken seriously as actresses. Jodie Foster has been a famous actress since she was a child. While she may have done some modelling, she was always known for her acting. Ursula Andress will forever be known as a bond girl, Brooke Shields will always be a child model turned actress (And of course the gerber baby), farrah fawcett doesn't exactly scream serious actress. Do you see what I mean? ALso, how many of those women were household names when they were models?

monica bellucci is definitely on the list too.
sorry lost girl but you werent around to know that farrah fawcett WAS a known model before she acted. and she WAS VERY beautifuil on TV & film so she definitely applies here.

anyway IMO no one will ever touch catheriine deneuve as a model on film and I think a lot of people know that.

I also have to say I wasn't impressed with Amber Valetta in the movie. I was really impressed with her acting (she was actually really good) but her beauty didn't floor me. It never floored me in magazines either though.

I think you misunderstood me. I was not saying that they weren't known models. FYI I'm 22 and old enough to remember some of them! What I was saying is that they aren't seen as being great ACTRESSES. They are known more for their face/body than any acting ability. PS- I Catherine Deneuve also

I remember Carol Alt acting in awful Italian movies in the '80s.
Carrie Otis is stunning, but "Wild Orchid" is a terrible movie.
