How do they keep putting Charlize on Best Dressed list when she always looks like such an idiot?

So the designers so far are:

Amy Adams: Carolina Herrerra
Charlize Theron: custom-made Dior Couture
Diane Kruger: Elie Saab
Felicity Huffman: Zac Posen
Hilary Swank: Versace
Jada Pinkett Smith: Roberto Cavalli
Jennifer Garner: Michael Kors
Jessica Alba: Versace
Keira Knightely: Vera Wang
Michelle Williams: Vera Wang
Naomi Watts: Givenchy Couture
Nicole Kidman: Either Chanel Couture or Balenciaga
Rachel Weisz: Narciso Rodriguez
Reese Witherspoon: vintage Dior
Salma Hayek: Versace
Sandra Bullock: Angel Sanchez
Uma Thurman: Versace
Ziyi Zhang: Armani Couture

jennifer lopez's dress was vintage, by rita watnick
maggie gyllenhal's dress was bottega veneta

My best and worst dressed :)

BEST

3. Rachel Weisz - The colour and cut was great, and she looked stunning. Her bump just added to the dress and made her glow. She looked radiant and beautiful. Perfect accessories and hair!

2. Jessica Alba - Gorgeous colour and cut. Really flattered her body. She was shining and looked like a princess. The train suited the dress perfectly, which this year seemed rare to me. She had a funky edge to her style as well, which added to the look

1. Kiera Knightly - the colour was great on her, the dress was an interesting cut without being crazy. She looked glam and sophisticated, exactly what the Oscars are about.

WORST

3. Jennifer Aniston - Just too plain jane. The hair was down and boring, the dress was bland, and the necklace was too big and was covered by her dress almost. Just boring and bad.

2. Naomi Watts - Her dress looked like a fourth grader took some tulle, bunched it up and stapled it to her. It was too bunchy and made her look pregnant/fat/silly. It also washed her out and just looked stupid.

1. Charlize Theron - What was she thinking with that damn BOW?! Did she expect the show to run way late and think she needed a pillow to rest her head on? Her hair was too big to go with the dress and the dress was so big on her it looked as if it were to fall off. I saw Matt Dillon sitting behind her and he was always trying to see over her hair/bow! Poor guy!

Well just got back from Trinity College, because my college is too cheapskate to have Sky. We missed the red carpet arrivals in the quest for a TV but here are some thoughts having viewed this thread

Firstly Matt Dillon? Hunk of the month. Joaquin Phoenix... err hunk of another month? Hunkalicious.

Secondly, from the moment I first saw her on celluloid years ago I have wanted to say the following: Can someone PLEASE lock Reese Witherspoon back in the Southern States where she belongs NEVER to cause mass annoyance to humanity again.

The good (Some STUNNING tasteful colours this year):
Amy Adams: A VERY impressive dress. One of the best. You believe this is couture not some prom dress factory producing identikit dressed.
J.Lo: Don't care for the dress or the woman, but the colour was like heaven, especially on her beautiful caramel skin. Perfect
Selma Blair: I miss her short hair but this girl just knows how to dress.
Keira: Lovely colour. Bad everything else. Beautiful girl. I loved the God-dust on her cheekbones bit. Actually I haven't watched the Oscars since my schooldays and I am surprised they have skits now.
Michelle Williams: The dowdiest girl in Hollywood but that yellow was extraordinary with the red lipstick. Wish she had left the necklace at home (and Keira too)
Jade Pinkett: Lovely colour for her but not unusual.
Karolina 'Big Bird' Kurkova: Great dress, great body but she is a model and why was she there? Exactly the same with Diane Kruger. Oh wait she ccalls herself an actress these days.
Jessica Alba: Because she was so skinny! I dont remember her being this skinny. The dress was nice -had a vintage feel and showed off her figure.
Maggie Gyllenhaal: Love the sub-mediaeval get up. Very unusual but then Maggie is just great. The back was lovely just like my favourite Oscar fashion moment in 2000 with Cate Blanchette's black dress with gold accents.
Padma Lakshmi: Wow. Wow. She looked like Jessica rabbit. That white material was like water over her curves. She just looked beautiful. It is amazing what an ordinary dress cut properly can do for you.

Just Bad:
Naomi Watts: The Colour. The pregnant ruffle. Ewww. Not good compared to Michelle Williams. Nicole also wore a bad colour for her.
Salma: Hated everything she wore. It could be her figure I am not sure. Also I dont remember her English being so bad.
Hilary Swank: Why does it have to be designer? She could have got it at Sears.
Jennifer Aniston: I have always known she was a sears girl. Still, her greeting with George Clooney was so cute.

Acessories:
I need Presley Chweneyagae's necklace soooo much!
Matt Dillon and Joaquin Phoenix: The best acessories ever. The Academy has something against pretty people.
Ludacis and Queen Latifah: Can they please be my friends. They seemed like the nicest humblest people there.
Uma Thurman: The best makeup for her. Didn't love the dress but she didn't look so frog eyed and weird as usual (I usually like that though!)
Charlize Theron: Great shoes! Great earrings! Dont mind her dress as it is quite couture-y. Actually I LOVE it. I can't stand Charlize but she has far exceeded my expectations this year and I think I have changed my mind.

Winners I loved:
Rachel Weisz: Nice watching a Brit and a Cantabridgian win. She is one of my top all time beauties. The greatest English-Jewish face of all time. But the dress was blah!
George Clooney: Lets hear it for the nice guy conscious driven liberals!! Wahoo. (And I haven't seen either of the films but for his niceness he deserves it )

Lastly: I didn't know Moira Shearer died  That really upset me as The Red Shoes is my favourite film.

My absolute fav look has gotta be Michelle Williams, she's quickly become a fashion plate to me with her choices...plus she's so cute too
Naomi Watts also looks beautiful, its a hard dress to pull off but she does it. I don't mind Nicole Kidman's dress either, it looks like SS06 Balenciaga embroidery...so I don't think it was Chanel...Love Maggie Gyllenhal's casual chic dress, suits her well...Charlie was a bit much, I do like actresses wearing couture but that dress wears her instead of the other way around. Jlo's dress is too busy, I like the color, but the bottom half of the dress bothers me...Felicity Huffman suprises me in Zac Posen though, but it doesn't suit her that much..Also I could do without those Versace dresses, yawn...and the Carolina Herrera is so chocolate-giftbox atrocious, poor Amy...Reese looks predictably cute...and is it because of her, nobody's wearing Chanel this year?haha
