I also kind of liked Queen Latifah's dress, even though the make-up was not good. Nicole Kidman was heaven, but I didn't like the cut of the hemline.

I'm still ****** off that Brokeback didn't win best picture.

I'm really happy. Crash was the only film I wanted to see this year. Gay cowboy movie just not my thing. I have never loved Ang Lee films with the exception of Ride With The Devil which I adore.

Brokeback Mountain is too over-hyped. Crash deserved it, even though I would never have believed it would have won.

I loved it and was thrilled for its upset. I do think I have an ethnic bias, though. Crash's message resonated with me so much because of my personal experiences.

But back OT...after much debate I've decided that I love Naomi's dress. It seems like it would fall apart, but that's part of its appeal, IMO

Btw I think your reason for liking Crash is justified and I think if the makers knew your reason, they would be even prouder of the film.

I am talking from the perspective of someone who hasn't seen any of this year's films though! A good film is so rare and I have become lazy and just watch films I love over and over. I can't believe I was a film junkie once upon a time.
