The Official Harry Potter Thread

wow that was fast  I thought it would be a years or more between them..

Yeah I know, but still I'm not sure if I'm going to remember the first part when the 2nd part comes out..but then again I can barely remember what I had for dinner yesterday :innocent:

^they already finished all those scenes things, so i guess there's no need to wait long time to release the second part of DH!

Gosh! Ron looks so grown up- I kind of like the facial hair though on him- its different.

They're trying to market the two movies as one thing.
Although most people say it's Desplat, there's still no official confirmation for the DH2 composer! What do you guys think?
I'm so excited for the movie! I'm reading the test screeners' reports on a regular basis and I've pretty somewhat memorized most of the scenes and sequences before it's even been released! Hurry up, guys...I want to see it now.

Warner Bros. Buys Leavesden Studios

Opening Harry Potter museum

Ten days ago Warner Bros. provided a boost to the New Zealand film industry by confirming that The Hobbit will stay in the Land of the Long White Cloud. Today was the turn of the small grey one, with the studio announcing that it has bought Leavesden Studios and will be spending £100m redeveloping the Hertfordshire site into a state-of-the-art filmmaking hub.

The design below gives some idea of the scale of Warners' plans for the new Leavesden. Says Barry Meyer, the studio's chairman and CEO: "Our multi-million pound investment in creating a state-of-the-art, permanent UK film production base further demonstrates our long-term commitment to the skills and creativity of the UK film industry."

It's significant fillip for UK filmmaking, creating 300 new jobs and transforming Leavesden into one of Europe's biggest back-lots. Leavesden has, of course, been home to many of Warners' UK productions in recent years, including The Dark Knight, Inception and all eight Harry Potter films.

The purchase will mean that there's a part of Blighty that is forever Hogwarts: two new soundstages will be build to house a wealth of movie memorabilia, including sets from Harry Potter. Warner Bros. will be opening the stages to the public for behind-the-scenes tours, which, with any luck, will be conducted by a full-time staff of Death Eaters. Pencil in Easter 2012, the tentative opening date, for your tour.

^wow they're really milking this for all it's worth :innocent:

I think that the HP movie is the biggest movie this year. I was at the movies the other day and I saw the trailer and I got the chills even tho I'm not the biggest fan out there and I might like this movie more than the other ones since I can't remember the book  I usually hate the movie because I'm comparing it to the book which is never good IMO

that was my big problem with hbp, i had just re-read the book and that wasn't the wisest decision, since the movie left out all my favourite scenes:cry:
i hope this one is better, these last two movies need to be a good ending of the series

i loved the book (haven't read it in ages though) and the movie is still my favourite. don't know why so many fans hate the movie, i think it's perfect, it's the one potter movie i can watch over and over again, for the others i have to be in the right mood

Oh wow, everyone I know hates that movie  For me I think it's the werewolf that ruins it..:innocent:

i never cared about that too much, werewolf means man-wolf and not man-turns-into-wolf, so i actually liked that he still had some human characteristics. i personally think the whole werewolf stuff in the twilight movies is much worse and unrealistic. and it's just a few small scenes in POA.
maybe i just love gary oldman too much:heart:

Oh that was a big deal for me, and I'm not a fan of the ones in the Twiligh movie either, but I don't care about them since I never really liked Twilight.
I never really liked Gary Oldman as Sirius :innocent:

what???
i fell in love with him as Sirius:crush::lol:
but now one of the deatheaters looks really good as well...i guess i like scrubby, shabby, nasty men:rofl:

 really? haha wow.
There's always something to pick on comparing the movies to the books, but what I think is a bit annoying is when they're making the characters look different from how they're described in the books

I'm gonna watch the movie on next Thursday. Just 2 days left, wee!

I love ALL the movies, but POA is definitely one of the ones I love the most. I thought Alfonso did a brilliant job with that film. He was first to capture the darkness in the books and also the quirkiness.

The first two are a little too squeaky clean and too straight and narrow. I love how Alfonso had all the kids wear their uniforms the way they wanted to. That's what kids would do, especially when they're away from their parents. It's little details like that that make me absolutely adore the POA movie. :D

Here are some new pictures from the Sunday Times Special. They're behind-the-scenes pictures and also pictures of the Lovegood house and Bathilda Bagshot's house:

Sorry for the double post, here are two new videos (I'm not watching them) from Deathly Hallows. One is a clip of Harry and Ron's argument. The other takes place at Malfoy Manor between Voldemort and his death eaters:
