Scenes I'm looking forward to in Part II: :D

Ron/Hermione Kiss
Gringotts Break-in
The Prince's Tale
The Room of Requirement scene
Ron/Hermione Kiss
The scene with Harry in the Forrest
The Part with Aberforth
And did I mention the Ron/Hermione kiss? :D

I found a website about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two. The part second last from the bottom titled "Differences between the film and the book" is an interesting read.

If you haven't read the books, it contains major spoilers!
http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Harry_Potter_and_the_Deathly_Hallows:_Part_2

Just read the differences and I have one question:

It says that Aberforth doesn't explain his brother's backstory. Does this mean that the whole backstory of Dumbledore is cut out?! If so that's extremely disappointing. :(

^I think it might be a bit too complicated for just a movie, especially since they didn't show the leads to that subplot in the first part.
HP wikia mentioned that one of the differences is that Bellatrix gets AKed by Molly, but I wouldn't really call it a difference because it was kind of implied in the book. And she never stated that she considered Neville doing it. This is exactly why I swear by HPL instead, lol. I didn't like that part though, I just felt that Bellatrix deserved something more glorious and totally maniacal, like she was herself.

People (hosts of the podcast mugglecast) who saw a screening of the movie said that a good bit of the movie is spent on Aberforth's story to the trio.
Ciaran Hinds (actor who plays Aberforth) was reported saying that his role is "blink and you'll miss it," but apparently this isn't true at all.

I wouldn't trust that wiki too much.

Haha you sure love Ron/Hermione :)

As for me I don't have requests, I juste hope the movie will be unforgettable, epic and dramatic. But I don't worry esp with the scenes we saw, it seems like the trio really step it up acting wise.

Aside from the obvious ones (Prince's Tale, Forest Again, RoR scene, etc.), I'm actually really looking forward to Helena Bonham Carter playing Hermione and the whole dragon adventure. I'm also curious about if or how they'll portray the "creature" at King's Cross. I hope there will be lots with Voldemort and the DEs because of the exploding screen presence and talent of the DE cast.

I'm not too big of a fan of Ron/Hermione in both the books and the movies. I think the pairing is a bit bland.
For me, Emma Watson's acting has improved but her dancing eyebrows still outshine the girl herself.

I've heard that Helena's portrayal of Hermione is scarily accurate.
Apparently it's hard to separate the two.
Also, the thing at King's Cross wasn't completely finished during the test screens, but people still said it was terrifying.

As for Ron/Hermione, I love them. They're one of my favorite literary couples.
I just don't like it when love is too easy in books and films and those two are far from easy.
There's a lot of differences and fighting and they're complete opposites.
Both of them are so proud and stubborn, so I've loved reading/watching the evolution of their relationship over the years.

The acting has always been brilliant to me, but all the actors (adults, trio, etc) have all brought their A-games for the last one.

Couple more new pics: :D

Well, no one expected anything less than perfect from Helena.:p I know there's zero chance of this, but I really want her to get an Oscar as Bellatrix because she's just so brilliant at it.

I still wish that someone had taken it upon themselves to describe what they saw of the creature in great detail. Or maybe someone did and I missed it?

For me, it's not the characters that are bland as much as how they are together. I can definitely see how someone would like them, but I think their bickering is a bit too cliche and I don't see much substance in it.

To each their own, I suppose. I was actually amazed by Jason Isaacs. I've always known he was good, but I didn't know he would actually impress the **** out of me. It looks like the cast of professors will be great as always. David Thewlis wowed me in the third, but for the sixth and up, I feel a bit underwhelmed.
I have ridiculously high expectations for Helen McRory, but I think if anyone can reach them, it's her. I totally hate the hair, though! Actually, the Narcissa I will always imagine is almost a bit like Carmen Kass, but with bigger eyes, without the constant smirk, and less modelesque. I don't even know why.

When I read the books, my Narcissa always looks like an older version of Naomi Watts, but with a constant stuck up expression on her face.

And I agree, Jason Isaccs is great in the films. He's one of those actors (like Alan Rickman and Ralph Fiennes) who are just so good at playing villains.

And I think David Thewlis just hasn't had much to work with in the last couple of films. He's only in the films for like a total of 10 minutes.
I was really hoping they would keep his scene with Harry at Grimmauld Place when he and Harry get into a fight.
That would have been a great, emotional scene to see on-screen. :)

^Imo, there has still been enough screen time for David Thewlis to at least get into the role, which I haven't really seen. For example, I thought Gary Oldman in GoF was absolute magic. I hope Thewlis has got back into it in the last movie, with whatever footage he has left.

I kind of dislike that Harry-Lupin scene in The Bribe just because Harry says something like "I think my father would have wanted to know why you aren't sticking with your own kid." He's already been proven wrong about who he thought his father was, so I don't like how he pretends to know James better than Remus. That's just a personal thing of mine, though. And I think it was just slightly OOC, especially when it said something like "he was bordering on indifference" when they were talking about him leaving Tonks with her parents.

The quotes probably aren't exact, but I can't bother to get out my copy so you probably get the point.

I just loved the tension in that scene. And I think what Harry meant is, James wouldn't want Remus to abandon his unborn child and go out and risk his life.
Plus, that would have destroyed Tonks (whose father was also on the run at the time). James would have never left Harry and Lily. In fact, he gave his life for them.

But here's a new BTS video from the Deathly Hallows dvd. It features a lot of great moments with the trio and other cast members: :buzz:

I'm not sure if this makes any sense at all, but it's not his point that bothers me as much as the fact that he said what he said.

^Yeah that makes sense. It was hurtful and like you said Harry had never really met his father. A lot of people don't like that scene, because they think Harry is too mean.

But again, I think he was trying to hurt Lupin, so that Lupin wouldn't want to go anymore.

Here's an excerpt from a new article from the April/May 2011 issue of the Writer's Guild magazine (WGAW) written by author JK Rowling.
She talks about her relationship with screenwriter, Steve Kloves, and what he said that made her trust him:

Her writing is so good even in a magazine article. I love this woman. Her talent for description is un-matched. :D

Steve and I were introduced, in L.A., by David Heyman, the producer, and we almost immediately went into a lunchtime meeting with a big studio executive. Three things happened within a couple of hours that caused every qualm to vanish and made me adore Steve, an attitude from which I haven’t deviated in 13-odd years.

Firstly, Steve turned to me while food was being ordered and said quietly, “You know who my favorite character is?” I looked at him, red hair included, and I thought: You’re going to say Ron. Please, please don’t say Ron–Ron’s so easy to love. And he said: “Hermione.” At which point, under my standoffish, mistrusting exterior, I just melted, because if he got Hermione, he got the books. He also, to a large extent, got me.

Lunch proceeded, and the senior exec held forth, dominated conversation. It swiftly became obvious to me that in spite of all the effusive praise of the novels he was pouring forth, he hadn’t read a page of them. (A reliable source had told me later the exec had read “the coverage,” which he always felt was more useful than reading the original material.) Next, he began to suggest things that would need changing, primarily Harry’s character. “No, that won’t work,” Steve said pleasantly. When lunch was over, David, Steve, and I went off for coffee together. On the way, Steve opined that you had to tell “them” up front what would work and what wouldn’t. No point prevaricating. I was now in a state of profound admiration.

When it was time to say goodbye, I wrote my email address down for Steve on the back of a torn receipt in my wallet. He read the address, then flipped over the receipt and said, “Penny Black–what’s that?” I said: “It’s the make of the top I’m wearing.” He tucked the receipt away muttering, “I just like knowing stuff like that.” As odd names on scraps of paper are perennially fascinating to me too, that clinched my feeling that I’d met a kindred spirit.

Thanks for posting those videos, btw. The Malfoy Manor looks amazing. I love that family portrait. And the organ!
I still don't like the fact that THE MALFOYS have an unscrewable chandelier, but I suppose the organ makes up for it.
I absolutely adore the drawing room. I want to own every bit of the Malfoy Manor down to the albino peacocks!

Yeah that set is pretty amazing. The outside shots are actually a real placed called Hardwick Hall.

I just love how cold it is. There's no warmth and no signs of life inside it.
It's such a stark contrast to the Weasley home.

^I can't wait. Here's more info about it! :buzz:

Thank you so much for posting those bts vids. It's no wonder these movies are so adored seeing how much love, thought and detailing has been put into it. It's such a rare thing to put standard as high as JK's nowadays.

You and me both! ^_^ Not in a million years (sad), but she's amazing as Bella. I know she was nominated for Scream Awards at least once, dunno if she won, but that's as far as it goes apparently.
