let's not forget he speaks 10 languages fluently -_-

^He is on the brink of death. If you want to make those assertions, perhaps this isn't the time of the place.

If, for instance, I believe that the Church is the mill of Satan then I can probably question both of those assertions...

If you believe that the Church is the mill of Satan then you've obviously fallen off of your rocker.

I can't believe he's still alive. It's about time for him to go...

It's called black humour, I believe...

Anyhow, I am upset that he's dying, or dead, whichever one chooses to believe. We all really knew that it was going to come for a very long time though. He's been having difficulty speaking and even moving, lately. He was one of the better Popes, but he was also an old man at the same time.
I think that it was his time to go.

While I'm not Catholic, his contributions to society have been extrordinarily giving and noble. It's very sad to see someone like him go.

Amen. You took the words right out of my mouth.

So far, still waiting to hear on his condition, but I am hoping he gets better - I really do like him and all the work that he's done, so I'd be sad for sure, if he passed away, even though I'm not personally religious. I think he's contributed a lot so far, during his time as Pope.

Then I appologize. I wasn't quite sure if it was intended to be serious or not.

I think it´s awful that someone has already started a tread saying that he died although he didn´t.

It´s quite unrespectful.

Looks as if you are eager to be the first to tell the news. :(

It's very sad to know that he's suffering so much or deceased. I'm hardly a religious person, but I think he stood as more then the leader of a religious group. He was more like an ambassador for compassion, love and harmony.

R.I.P

you mean disrespectful? no its not disrespectful. I doubt anyone thinks he's going to live through the weekend (and it did say unconfirmed.) I was inspired to do some research on this guy and now I'm a big fan. I choose the last fleeting moments of his life to jump on the pope wagon (or would that be pope-mobile? ) Im always jumping into trends way too late, lol. But death is a part of life, its the only thing we're promised at birth, and I think western society should do more to embrace it rather than see it as so somber and dreaded. I know when I die I wanna go out with a BANG.:woot: Awesome huge funeral, party favors, the whole enchilada. And why not, its my last mortal party I'll be attending and it'll be easier on my family. But one thing that does bother my about the whole concept of the pope is how they refer to him as The Holy Father, I mean Im no theology junkie, but isnt that considered a form of idoltry, I mean, isnt GOD The HOLY Father? hence breaking the comment "Thou shalt not have no other Gods before me" I mean the way people idolize the Pope and The Virgin Mary is a bit unsettling. She was just an ordinary virgin (hey, like me!! ) and people have turned her into a God. I mean she was blessed with a miracle, but hey lets not get ahead of ourselves people...

i completley agree. those of the hispanic heritage believe that death is something to be celebrated. welcomed, not feared. it absolutley is a part of life.

Holy crap
for some reason i always figured him to be around forever

^To be fair, it does say unconfirmed reports.

I don't think disrespect was intended. There were in fact A LOT of unconfirmed reports that the Papa was has already passed on / in a coma. I just checked and he is still with us except that his condition is really deteriorating. I am not Catholic either but I have full respect for him. May he be blessed for all he has done on earth. When I saw pics of him crying because he was unable to deliver the Easter blessing, I couldn't hold back my tears either.

that is too far and a little rude:( what ever is wrong with the pope i think that we all need to get the facts before we post anything and just keep him in our thoughts....not just because he is a religous figure...but because he is a human being who deserves compassion in a time like this!!!!!!
