The Row - The All-Things The Row Thread

the skirt is pretty much true to size and as it is shaped to fit a womanly (i.e. with some hips) body i would stick to your usual size :)

I just picked up two of the looooooong dresses today from barneys. 1 black v neck and one gray t shirt style. I've decided to hem the gray one ( the black one looks cute cinched with a belt). Any thoughts on a length for the dress. I'm tempted to leave it pretty long as the fabric is very drape-y and beautiful. Has anyone else had their Row dresses hemmed?

I thought they stopped producing the bandage skirt in black since it was last season but maybe i'm wrong.

I don't have anything of theirs but it's made to be hemmed. Like you said I would keep it long. Perhaps just above your ankle if your body can support a shape like that?

^^ thanks for the help! I'm 5'8 so I can probably get away with a bit more length. Above the ankles it is!

congrats mercer. those are some excellent basics ;)
i have had the racer back dress hemmed and it was totally fine. it is beautiful so if you can pls post pics !

May I ask how short you had it hemmed? as I said in my earlier post I was planning on going just above the ankle. the fabric is so soft and pretty it seems a shame to go shorter.

I'll post pictures tomorrow!

I want a tank version of that dress with a racer back so bad

mercer,
the dress was shortened slightly above floorlength :)
loving both of yours!!

The t-shirt dresses above look great!
What fabric are they?
I really love the idea of tailoring them to fit one's own body, it makes all the difference.

thanks for the help with the length leyla! and thanks for the nice compliments everyone! I took the gray one to my tailor today and we did ankle length. She was super impressed with the quality of the dress! I'll check on the fabric content tonight. It's super soft and hangs beautifully.

but the question is: would it also be that successful if it wasn't made by mka olsen?
for sure, the clothes look great but most of them are nothing new, we've also seen this by other designers....

leyla, do you have modelling pics of yours?
i saw them at barneys last week, and i'm still debating getting one...

Could someone give accurate examples of The Row's prices for the t-shirts and t-shirt dresses? Like a list of what the different models cost in $.. I see different numbers everywhere.
