The Runaways

It was really good, grungy sexy punk rock fun. I didn't know much about the band or the music before but it really sucked me in. The acting by Kristen and Dakota was really good, they definitely seemed to embrace their roles. Some of the dialogue was a bit cleche and cheezy but I had to keep in mind this was supposed to be 15 year old girls talking/behaving.

I wouldn't say it was groundbreaking, but it was totally 100% worth the money and made me want to run home a google everything I could about The Runaways after.

Btw, I thought I look up The Runaways on the site of our biggest cinema holder and it's actually on the site. But expected to come to theatre's on 30-11-2010..?

oh, thanks for your review, bb! :flower:

they earned 800 000$ this weekend, that's huuuuge. :shock::heart:

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning are good in this, particularly in the first half, when their retrospective characters are getting to know one another. Love the scene where Cherie auditions, and Jett and Fowley compose 'Cherry Bomb' on the spot, for her to sing.

rumor has it they're having issues with the european distribution / worldwide one and that maybe there won't be one.

yeah, they weren't expecting such a low boxoffice gross, which btw was huge since it was limited release and R rated. after the wider release in april we'll get more news i guess.

I just saw this last night! I was expecting some kind of cheese fest, sort of like Factory Girl, but the acting was very strong (from all actors, even secondary roles like Riley Keough's) and the story certainly wasn't typical Hollywood. The soundtrack was very good also.

I wish the movie was here, but i checked my theaters site and its not listed as Now Playing or Coming Soon :(

so is it still in limited cities ?

I really wanna see it. The Runaways is one of my favourite bands and I really love Dakota too!
