Thanks Yes, the black shoes are flats, though they were also made as a stiletto. (I have decided I really have enough heels at this point, considering how much I'm able to wear them vs. flats ...) Enjoying the results of the spree myself, though I liked the old way better ... buying a few things every year & feeling like he would always be there ...

Great nubuck sandals, Belowen ... they look like they would be great to wear all day, lots of support for the foot.

I see they're the #1 selling case in the US, so I suppose I must've seen them without realizing it They seem to be a direct translation of Crocs to tech equipment ...

^^^ Ta-ta, unfortunately I can't give you karma, but I think these black ballet flats have to be the most beautiful I've ever saw (and I hate ballet flats). The texture is really interesting, is it glittery?

^ Thanks, Jinadaze They are goatskin, and there does seem to be a glittery metallic effect. I haven't seen them in person yet, so I can't provide a first-hand description. But it looks like a metallic wash has been rubbed into the grain. (The gold ones are goatskin as well.)

(I am having this random memory of visiting friends out in the country with goats, wearing animal print jeans. One of the kids came up to me & tried to eat the spots off my leg )

(now I don't need to take off my gloves when using my phone.... I saw a pic of Peter Dinklage on the subway wearing fingerless gloves while swiping away on his iPhone; I don't know why I never thought of it before)
