The X-Factor 2009 ... Do not post stills from the show or Rex Features (copyrighted)

I'm glad Rachel went out the bottom two. I would never have put her or Lloyd in the bottom two this week, but out of those two, I'd have sent her home. I fully agree with Simon. She might well be a better singer, but clearly something's not clicking with the viewers. She's not inspiring people to vote for her, and three times in the bottom two..

But seriously. Danyl? Ergh. Why do the people of Britain keep doing this to me!

^Thanks for the photo,it actually the dress from october24th....

Awh gosh Rachael is out.Haha im glad for John & Edward, surprisingly they are genuine guys and they do have the hawhaw factor!!

Thank God Lloyd was saved. I felt so bad when he couldn't sing cause his voice was cracking! I think Simon made the right choice. X Factor is about singing, yes but if you're not appealing to the public and you've been voted in the bottom two three times, then there's something wrong.

Good choice to leave it up to the public.

She's a good singer, I could see her working successfully in the music world in some capacity - not everyone has to be a TV superstar, so I hope it's not too much of a knockback, and she makes the most of the opportunities she gets from this.

I wasn't that thrilled with this week's theme, and the judges were more entertaining than anyone on stage was. Will Lloyd go next week? I wouldn't find him a loss. Seems to be a sweet lad, but there's a sense of... things going wrong for him.

ooh i just found this thread, yay :) i love danyl, i think he's great but i'm hoping olly will win, he seems so lovely. i felt horrible for lloyd when that caller on the xtra factor asked him if he thinks he's only getting anywhere because of his looks, he looked like he was going to cry... he's only 16, i hope the pressure doesn't get to him. does anyone know what the theme will be next week?

I didn't want Rachel to go, until Simon mentioned that the public were just not getting something.
I didn't really care for Llyod either.. he's only in because he's good looking. He can't even sing.. well he can, just not half decent.

I think Lloyd has the popstar package. His vocals aren't amazing, but I'd imagine by the time they're tweaked around on a recording, like almost all artists are, he'd not be bad.

Like Louis and the judges keep saying, as far as a little pop star package goes - he's pretty perfect. I doubt he'll stay in much longer really though. Unless Cheryl manages to pick a song that suits him to a t, and he performs it brilliantly..

Though in terms of appeal, there's also the comparison to the absolute teenage beauty of Joe - if I was half my age (and then minus a few more years) my eyes would be going straight to him, while Lloyd would simply be a pleasant bland blond distraction for a minute or so.

I can see what they're saying, on his own terms, Lloyd would be good, and he does look good, but put Joe beside him, and he suffers because he suddenly becomes the second-best handsome young lad in the line-up.

I actually don't mind Lloyd and I think he has a nice tone to his voice, but I get what you all say.B)
I think his main letdown has been the song choices:blink: I also think he will come through this weekend......as loads of young girls are gonna vote for him after having to sing with almost no voice and he seems like a really nice genuine person.
I actually think one of Simon's acts will leave this weekend.....no-one in particular.......just got a hunch.

The song choices have been horrible for Lloyd but I can't think of any songs which WOULD suit him, he doesn't exactly have much of a range. I thought something along the lines of a busted song would've been good for him last week, Cheryl should stick with typical teenage music. Tbh I don't think he has that many fans, the girls who vote for him are probably aged about 13-17, I'm 19 and don't find him 'hot' simply because he's the same age as my little brother. Sure he's cute but I'd much rather vote for someone with talent... bleh I hope Jamie leaves this week though, he just does nothing for me

I feel like he would do really good if he sang a James Morrison song. Broken Strings or You Give me Something would be a great match, imo.

I thought it strange that nobody seemed to pick up that Lloyd with an unwell voice, ie gone all gravely, was actually certainly no worse than when his voice was unaffected. And I thought that was actually the best he had sang?
I liked his rockier styling. He does ease/grundge passably. Only hope Cheryl has enough experience to spot these things and not try to turn him into a choirboy next week. He was a wiley pick.

I guess even gone gravelly it's tough to feel any grrr for the boy cos for you at 19 he is just too much a boy for your tastes. Or have you just been conditioned :) Jamie, well he's a bit of a plum-pudding rocker. Too teddy-bear-like. We do have to recall that the 025's are - well 025. wHAT HAVE THEY done to Olly's hair!

Even though Cowell is wanting Danyl and even roping in Derren bROWN to send subliminal messages to the public I can't have that he has any xfactor and I still think the public will come to like Jedward and Lloyd best. Well I think they already do. The exchange market imho is all wrong. Derren Brown though. hmm.

i thought the twins were Horrendous (as per) how did they make it through to the live finals
this happens every year where there is an act , remember the macdonald twins (i think that was their name) everyone was like 'how are they still in ?'

If you don't get Jedward you just don't get it. They're the only act who approach the whole darn circus with what it deserves - irony. They're the coolest thing on there. And everyone loves them. Even if it is just a guilty pleasure you've not yet allowed yourself. Go on smile.

The boys looked - if not great - then by the far the best last week. They rock. The little frickers!

And come on don't we all want to see Simon's rage when Louie gets lucky again and beats the slimey sleazebag. Or do we detect that he's been slimely sliding toward rapprochment conceding, at least, that they're likeable not how he first read them. Judgmental ****-waver. You watch, by about 4rounds to go he'll say they've learnt to sing. After all, all he really cares about is the XMAS numberone. And cheese. PoMo ironic cheese. If it sells - he'll stock it.

The twins are horrendously watchable.. but I suppose if they stayed and someone who I was actually fond of, say Lucie or stacie went..well then I'd start to get pissed. I suppose it's sort of luck that they've stayed in and the ones who've gone I've not really cared for. With the exception of MissFrank. Danyl should have gone instead of them.

I agree with what was said above though about Lloyd singing James Morrison. I think he'd pull it off, or maybe even something like James Blunt (as much as I dislike him).

i still can't believe he sang I Kissed a Girl i think if he sand Beautiful by Christina Aguilera then we would probably be top the vote also does Lloyd were the same thing every week? i swear he does

Ooh agreed! I think lloyd could easily manage james blunt or james morrison, but I think he needs something less up tempo, it just doesn't suit him. He needs to be all dreamy and romantic so all the little girls can swoon over him. And the dancing girls were a tad ridiculous last week, I almost felt a bit uneasy watching them grab him so close to his bits. And Tentacl, perhaps slight conditioned yes haha but Lloyd is just horribly reminiscent of my whiny little baby brother, I'd feel like a cradle snatcher if I found him hot! He's a cutie though and seems lovely in real life. Olly does it for me though! I wouldn't MIND if the twins ended up in the final, but I hope people can see sense then and vote for the right person (which if I have my way will be Olly, yum). Let them have their fun but when it comes to an actual record deal, I'd much rather someone with talent win! But does anyone else find themselves getting annoyed with Cheryl this year? She seems so cold and unapprochable :c

See what you say about Cheryl but I tell you when she tugs at the heartstrings there's no tv like it. She moves me anyway. Manipulative b*tch. Wouldn't say no though.

But you didn't answer about Olly's hair! - ok the pelvic thrusting, gyrating stuff, the charming boy next door but can anyone actually 'fancy' someone with that monk bowl nightmare of a hair style!? It looks like Brucie's syrup! Sorry - you're Swedish - translation - Bruce Forsyth (epinonomous sp. octogenarian tv host)'s wig (cockney rhyming slang = syrup of figs, wig). Anyway - bad hair - no xfactor.

I'm no psychologist but I think you are repressing your desire for Lloyd. You're giving advice as to how he can make the girls soon - you've visualised finding him hot.

So let go, listen to your instincts: join the Lloyd/Jedward bandwagon. I think you've already got one leg on board :)

Nah I'm a sneaky sky user so I'm thoroughly aware of Bruce Forsythe and I do not approve of your comparison of him to Olly haha! Look, I swear it's Simon Cowell's fault -

auditionee Olly: http://xfactor-updates.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/Olly-Murs1.jpg

and Olly under the evil influence of Simon Cowell: http://www.nowmagazine.co.uk/imageBank/o/olly3.jpg

I think my detective work blatantly proves there is still hope. And anyway who cares about his hair when he rips his shirt open in such a sexy manner? (urgh I just saw Danyl's tattoo! A bit naf, I'm disappointed :( ) Anyway I have no further comments regarding Lloyd haha, I'm sure anything I say will now suddenly appear to have sexual undertones. So I'll keep quiet. :)

Another day, another piece of PR (dailymail.co.uk):

'Furious' Dannii Minogue left out in the cold as X Factor bosses make seat move permanent

The X Factor reshuffle that saw Dannii Minogue shunted to the end of the judging panel on Saturday night has been made permanent, it emerged today.

The Australian singer, 38, was furious after she was given just five minutes' notice by producers on the ITV talent contest that she had to swap seats with Louis Walsh. Despite making it clear to her bosses that she was unhappy with the move after the show finished, she is expected to remain in the spot for the rest of the series.

Miss Minogue had originally been placed in the plum spot – next to Simon Cowell – when she first joined the X Factor in 2007. Then, when Cheryl Cole, 26, joined the show last year, the pop princess was given that seat and Miss Minogue was moved to the middle of the panel.

Sources on the show revealed this latest move was 'very upsetting' for Miss Minogue, as one said: 'Dannii was only told five minutes before the judges were due on set as the producers didn’t want a row, so she was furious.

'The situation is that the producers like the banter between Simon and Louis and wanted to move Louis up the panel. He livens things up, whereas having Cheryl and Dannii sitting together was getting a bit dull. But they also felt that Dannii and Simon give the most constructive comments on the show, so they would make good bookends, so Dannii is also somewhat a victim of her own success.'

The judges do occasionally move seats during the early auditions but positions are usually fixed for the live shows.

A source close to Miss Minogue said: 'Danni has been upset and did complain to the bosses after the show that she thought it was an undignified way to behave to break the news just before she went on air, but everyone is telling her that she should not take it so personally.'

When Mrs Cole joined the programme last year, the Girls Aloud star was hailed for her fashion excellence and dominated the series. Miss Minogue had confessed she was upset at being moved away from Mr Cowell in the 2008 series, saying: 'He moved me away from him and now sits next to Cheryl and is in her ear all the time. It is a snub but I'm fine.'
