Ok, here goes mine.. I wanted to express the opinions of war and its effect on the world in my design..
I know, everyone's eyes immediately dart to the antichrist sign, and I don't mean to offend anyone by it; it just symbolizes the hell that war creates. The text: "Join the Army" and the flowing grey dress is a contradiction to the sign, it shows how grand the idea of being a soldier and being part of a war seems, so the dress is sort of saintly in a way (to depict how people would feel in that role), but then if you go further down, the girl is chained to her dress (like she's trapped in this position), and her boots are on her dress (which shows the world).. Her outer appearance seems saintly (ie. white dress, "join army" slogan), but she is trampling on the world with her boots.. showing the damage caused to the world by wars (since it's at the bottom of her dress and can get trampled on). There are bullet shells hanging from her shoulders, her head is shaved, she's a soldier going to a war.

i've been too busy/lazy to start sketching. so no entry this time around...

i tried to use the ideas of decite and manipulation in politics, with the back of the suit being misleading and the front revealing the true nature of the wearer.
i thought that by changing the viewers position in both the drawing and the real world, this would also change way the viewer would perceive the wearer.
if that makes any sense!

JR1: Me like! This is the (always working) 2-sides-of-a thingie, black and white, good and bad, happy but sad thing, or your example.

Prague: wow prague! this design is really well done. This is one of my favourite contribution/entry in this contest ever.
It is obvious that it is a design with much thought behind it. When reading the "description" it becomes clear just how much thought is behind.
I love the choice of acolored bra, it makes me think of her heart.
The idea that she is trampling on the world is genius. War does make that much damage you are absolutely right!
The only detail I would change is the boots, I would have liked them neater. Sort of like army boots goes high heel.

~Gypsies~
Definition: Gypsies are nomadic (travelling) people believed to come from India, spreading into almost every European country by the 16th century. The gypsies are rich in culture, mystery (think tarot cards, crystal balls) and... their style has become fashion trends around the world (eg. gypsy skirt)..
So, for this theme, create clothing that would be fit for a gypsy (take note of the culture and their environment etc.)
I'm making you guys research a little (just for fun); say where your gypsy comes from and how his/her environment affects their fashion.
Any questions, just reply.
