Thierry Mugler F/W 11.12 Paris

I feel like I'm going to get slayed for saying this, but, overall, it was a hot mess. From a presentation point of view, the girls had way to much freedom to be fierce and playful - its either everyone does it, or not. Joan Smalls and the other black girls nailed it, giving model + ******, like pros. The maze of a runway was evidently difficult to follow for some girls, as well as myself. We saw one too many stumbles (and don't blame the shoes because there were NONE for McQueen 2010). I feel that, although Gaga definitely performed and served her purpose in the show, she was an intentional distraction from the clothes. I didn't think i would be saying this, but I prefer the boring mesnwear, be as it may.

I actually liked a few of the pieces.....the more wearable pieces lol!

A very strong collection and fun show to watch!

Wow, it was such an intense show. The clothes are kinda out of this world...

oh my god this is awful. mugler must be shaking and crying out of sadness and humiliation. it's a shame that his legacy was tainted by this...um...collection. mugler incorpored lots of latex, s&m, pain, and distress in his garments but at least there was that touch that made something so painful look so good to wear. but this? ha.

and don't get me started on gaga and formichetti. gosh.

looks digusting

I'm a fan of Mugler. I mean Thierry.
He was a visionnaire and a body architect.

People will just love the hype around it.

This is crappy and above all tacky. There is not statement.

Silliest thing I've seen. It's a collection for **** **** fans, that's about it.

Thierry Mugler - F/W 11.12 - Full Fashion Show (Exclusive on You Tube)

Couldn't agree more. Some pieces are fine, but overall this is one big mess. Since the beginning i said that the new Thierry Mugler woud be just a new fount of Lady Gaga costumes :(

Absolutely. The little monsters won't be able to afford these designs, but I'm sure the perfumes that will follow will sell extremely well.

The collection itself is more a selvedge-yard of late 80s and early 90s fashions and silhouettes; Claude Montana, Gaultier, and Thierry Mugler-- of course, with catwoman bodysuits in patented pvc, long tube-skirts, corsets and bustiers, and platforms.

There's absolutely nothing new here, even the cathedral arches and dark spotlight runway is very "borrowed" from McQueen's 2002 A/W spectacle, as Salvatore noted.

We've seen it all before.

That's how it seemed to me. There was so much going on that it was hard to concentrate on the actual garments. I'll make my mind up once I see stills of the clothes but nothing really stood out in terms of innovative structure and design.

it was a good show, like some of the looks, would love to see the shoes in details.
