Tom Ford F/W 14.15 London

How is that a Jay-Z reference? I don't listen to his music and wouldn't know...

From Jay's song Tom Ford: "I don't pop molly, I rock Tom Ford"

This is horrible. When it's not ugly and dated, it's embarrassing trying to be hip. Doesn't even feel luxurious, and that was that saving grace of his latest collections.

I am a big Tom Ford fan but this is just boring and dated lol.
Its very stale and random.

Love this. It reminds me a lot of his F/W 2001 collection for Gucci in the shapes and textures. It's nice to see that moody, broody, could give a s*** vibe from him again.

And I LOVE those two sports jersey dresses. They're a parody of a parody, which makes them sorta brilliant. It's a nice reminder that Tom Ford has a pretty wicked sense of humor underneath the gloss and glamour.

Hmmm, not really appealing this time to me...

I like the football jerseys but find the some of the furry and animal print stuff too heavy

OMG! This is Gucci when he was creative director, nothing new. So overrated.

I like the less "exclusive" feel of the show, but the sequined TF 61 dresses does nothing for me. the furs look awkward as well. the ending is slightly boring to me, with those capes? hm...

Thanks for reading my mind. :flower:

this is sooo boring feels like it's been done a million times before

I've never been a fan of nineties/early 2000s fashion, & this is exactly that. Very ugly & dated. All of it.

It will never cease to amuse me that the same exact criticisms are lobbed at his collections no matter how wildly different they all are. This looks and feels nothing like his first few collections and yet the generic critiques of it haven't changed at all.

Then again I suppose my definition of dated and ugly doesn't usually include black wool tailoring and plain tunic dresses.

Looks like he needs to pull in some money; his shows are less exclusive, the clothes less superfluously luxurious, and he is trying to be more "hip." Unfortunately this is as "hip" as a walkman.
