Trench coats - fashion or frump?

its a fashion must in my opinion - you only have to look at any picture of Angelina Jolie to see just how fab they are!
They are timeless pieces that every woman should own in black and at least 2 other colors - i even have one in apple green that is perfect for spring English weather!

the trench is a must have... it's a classic every woman should have in a wardrobe... and you can wear it some many different ways...
my 2 fav are the
"Jane Birkin" version... very casual : trench all open, tshirt or cachemire sweatshirt, jeans and converse (or whatever cool shoes)...
and the sexy version : trench (collar up) white shirt (if your trench is the classic beige), open with a belt underlining your waist and a short poofy skirt (that cannot be seen by others) naked legs with high heels... that is soo sexy!!!! the poofy skirt helps the trench to look like a skirt as well... it makes a perfect silhouette....
with a bag or not... the bag cannot be too big... with the sexy version version...

I really want a trench but I'm having touble finding a good one that is in my price range (under £50, which = $100), and I can buy in this shopping vacum where I live (impossible to find anything decent around here, ugh). Also I'm having trouble with fimding one that fits and hangs well

^If you wanna find a good one, wait for H&M's fall winter line to come out. They're usually relatively cheap, and look good. V&R's trenches (for women and men) were REALLY nice. I would have bought one, but it was either grey or black and I want a beige one. Mango and Zara also offer nice ones! Just wait til the time is right

I personally love trenchcoats. They make ANYTHING look really dressed up, and I like that look. I might just get a Burberry one this fall, but it all depends on whether my dad lets me (like a lot of people, I'm totally financially dependent on my parents )

Thanks guys I'll definately keep a look out in those stores. I'm not sure what colour I would like though, beige would be nice but really hard to keep clean, so may look for a black one

Not neccesarily. You can have the trenchcoat coated, which makes it easier to clean and makes it water resistant.
