wide-legged trousers/jeans, headscarves, loose t-shirts, and i still love vests..

I have decided to never throw clothes away again unless they are ruined because there have been so many times when something I wore a few years ago is huge and I wish I still had mine. Especially shoes!!!

I still think gaucho pants are turning out to be a very nice look. It seems ladies seem to be making gaucho pants into an all-year fashion, thus ruining my claim that they may not be suited for hotter weather. I've seen a combination of gauchos and flip-flops more often than not. They also look good with most flats. You know a fashion article is a wonderful one if it can be worn all year. Gauchos were all the rage of the Fall/Autumn and Winter segment, but with boots. Spring and Summer seem to favor sandals. Anything from flip-flops to more stylish sandals seem to work. I've even seen heeled mule shoes (no back to them, not even a backstrap) used nicely to compliment the feet. I still think that drapey bottoms don't call for something completely casual. One pre-teen or little girl tried out gauchos with sneakers, and I don't think they go too well. Gauchos are more of a dressy deal to me.

Flats are doing quite well. I especially love mary-jane shoes. They are my favorite shoes I've seen on women. Just the look of a regular shoe with straps to compliment its look provides such innocence. I don't really like mary jane mules too much. But a number of flats don't look too bad. I often wonder if there are any ladies who kind of try to mix (call me crazy) ballet slippers with regular casual clothing. One of the prideful fashion things used to be about dancing. I can remember a very young lady who had on leotard, but isn't a real dancer, much less a ballet dancer! The ballet slippers I was going for in this paragraph is sometihng similar to some of the ballet slippers in this link: { http://www.dancewear.com/dancewear/dept.asp?s_id=0&dept_id=2048 }. I'd recommend you look at the Sansha Canvas Split Sole Ballet Shoes. These are actual ballet slippers used for actual dancing. Some designs in this link would be wonderful to sample with casual and semi-casual fashion. Some flat shoes have those extra straps to them, but I can't identify who makes such wonderful designs with their flats.

I actually have a little more appreciation of espadrilles nowadays. That is a casual shoe that has some nice style to it. I consider ribbons and straps to be lovely. Wrapping around espadrilles can be quite stylish for spring. I'm liking those a lot more nowadays, probably since my Humanities teacher worn those last week.

i'm still not feeling bright colours, but blue red and white in a nautical context are really doing it for me right now.

i wish my mum had done this :sob: .. i think i might do this for my daughters (if i have any :P)

I am a dancer, so I wear all of my dance clothes out of the studio. Ballet flats, leotards, sometimes evern leg warmers!

linen pants!
i dunno if this is a trend or if its just something that happens every spring/summer since it gets warmer, but ive been seeing lots of cute linen pants. not the stay-at-home mom kind thats plain with a drawstring, but interesting pairs with cargo-like pockets and zippers and buttons. cute stuff!

Knee Length black shorts, they look elegant and go with everything

The problem with ballet slippers is that they're not meant for everyday street-walking. The entire slipper is too delicate, in my opinion. And for those people who need cushioning in their shoes, definitely go for ballet flats (which can be sturdier) than the slippers created for the dance floor.

^^ they are also sooo uncomfy as they are so flat and the soles so thin its like walking on bare feet.

This is not a recent trend, but more of something I read recently online. The date is here: http://sheknows.com/about/look/6749.htm

I did a Google search on fashion inspired by candy and chocolates. One article I read had to do with candy influences in fashion. I've seen a lot of brown around town, even among one of my friends. I'm talking about like, dark brown. Kind of like dark chocolate. It is a trend I wouldn't mind seeing take form (I think it's an old article, because I can't find a date of publication). I'm a committed sweettooth. Some of you ladies might like the Stuart Weitzman pumps in this link I've provided. Almost funny how candy is sweet enough to eat, but for ladies to wear fashions inspired by candy and/or chocolate... it's pretty... sweet.

Any chance we may see this deal kick up during Spring and Summer?

That sounds really fun! I think I'm going to try and dress like a chocolate cupcake tomorrow. Velvet brown skirt, white lace top, and a pink cardigan. Thanks for the inspiration!
xoxo

This chocolate inspiration is actually part of a fictional character or fictional series of characters. This is my way of associating candy with women's fashion.

The sort of concept I've mentioned is part of what I'd consider a "Candy Girl." The chocolate inspiration I've given you (I wasn't trying to give any inspiration, but I appreciate your kind words) is sort of what I believe defines a candy girl. She has to be sweet, enticing, long-lasting, indulgent, and that sort of thing. Basically, I've taken this chocolate fashion deal by imagining if a girl was actually made from candy. Can you imagine if a girl you known was made out of chocolate or probably has kisses like chocolate? That's the deal I'm kind of going for with my take on this. You see, I'm a committed sweet tooth. I'm used to meeting kind and wonderful people. I even get to know some who are sweet. This chcolate fashion inspiration kind of brings an indulgent love of chocolate into fashion. I actually think those Stuart Wetizman pumps from the website I brought up looks very nice. I can imagine a lady wearing one of the two chocolate-brown pumps. I guess they are a bargain at $38 according to { http://sheknows.com/about/look/6749.htm }. I think a combination of chocolate brown and some beige colors would look best for these pumps. If I was a girl, I may sample a somewhat light pink color with these pumps. I probably wouldn't wear jeans or anything denim for bottoms with these pumps. White and brown would be a nice combo. If these pumps had the same silouhette and was a knee-high boot, I'd probably wear these with gauchos or knee-length skirts. But that combination can be saved for fall and winter. It's just about too hot to wear boots nowadays.

I think you ladies may like the handbag and tote from the site I provided. This fashion really proves a special correlation to a lady and candy. If you are sweet, why not look as sweet as you are? I don't see anything chocolate-related for guys to catch on, despite the fact that Chocolate Bar { http://www.chocolatebarnnyc.com } has some men's shirts available with chocolate material. But again, I think this trend or style is better left to the fashionable diva whom is sweeter than sweet. Perhaps one who may have been made out of sugar, spice, and everything sweet. This may actually catch on. Only thing is, WILL this catch on and for how long?
