shutter shades
popped collars
trapeze shirts/dresses (with/without wide metallic belt)
platform peep toes
neon 80's anything, especially headbands, leggings, legwarmers

gladiator shoes... damn, EVERY sister, mother, and grandmother in new york has a pair. I got tired of those real fast

Capris- I think they're universally unflattering. It makes every leg that steps into them look 3/4 it's length.

Trapeze tops- Actually, I take that back. The original, 60's-esque trapeze coats and tops are still cute. It just upsets me that it somehow became an excuse to cut tops into box shapes. Even belted, they look boxy and chunky.

Bright colors- That may sound silly, but I feel like when people wear such bright clothing it just looks like either a trip to vegas, 80's movie or F21 display. I'm happy people are beginning to mix in more muted tones- gray, peachey nude colors, creme, etc.

Shutter shades- I'm bummed, I was so excited to call this one but I was beat to it. You guys are good.

Shirts that say anything on them- nobody cares.

Rhinestoned anything- You are not Elle Woods. It is not 2001.

Juicy Terry and Velour stuff- I realized this was passe when I was at Disneyland and all the fat mothers were wearing Kohl's knock-offs. :yuk: As soon as it's disguising backfat, it's over.

Shutter shades, Victorian-style blouses, shirts with the brand name all over them...and for some reason a bunch of the girls at my school have been doing the black bra/white shirt thing on purpose. YUCK.

Abundance of oversized scarves on H.S. kids and college students with access to Urban Outfitters. I love oversized neckwear but I hate this as a trend.

I have the same feeling towards:
-vests/waistcoats with t-shirts
-any huge oversized shades (plasticky ironic toy shades, metallic aviators, etc. etc.)
-"*emo" hair

I love most of these when done right in a unique way. But when I see these done haphazardly and uniformly among mass groups of people... they just loose their charm. CAN WE MOVE ON??? (so I can like it again hahaha)

Now trends that never made sense to me:
-Ugg boots that are worn as street wear (I'm still okay if I see 'em on surfers, sheep herders and apparently... WWI & II aviators)
-GIANT label-wh*re/walkin'-advertisement clothings and accesories.
-IPODS as a fashion statement... apple-gadget-consumer-wh*re NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD (partly tongue in cheek)
-jeans/pants worn under skirts (I used to see this lots back in Uni... lazy unshaven college girls)

Intentionally unflattering proportions and styles on a woman's body.
Pod coats and dresses, banana pants, extreme bubble and tulip skirts.

But those low-crotched pants in particular are absolutely vile.

exactly what i wanna know.
im fairly sick of vests, too..but i still wear them all the time, sometimes i feel my outfit just isn't complete.

Imagine this sight I came across today.....girl in the train station wearing uggs (not even all one colour, but the ones that look they sewed together the leftover bits of a few colours ), black over the knee socks, mid blue denim hotpants and a baby pink jersey fleece hooded sweater. I kid you not, I was horrified.

ray-bans, keffiyahs, any cut off leggings or ones worn halfway on the foot, gladiator sandals, skinny jeans (mostly on guys)

Heroin chic (comes and goes and should just go),
I'm getting bored with tunics,
I agree with the cut off leggings,

-"*emo" hair
I agree, I don't get this look. ? I love natural hair and I also don't get the whole dried bleached out extension hair, just stick to the natural length. I mean the damage some people do to their hair is sad.

And the whole center swoop hair thing with the bobby pins, if I'm making an sense. Like when girls pull the middle back and put bobby pins in, it needs to go.

So, did you talk to whichever Olsen twin that was?

^^^ We have so many girls here that try to look like wannabe-Lolitas.

I HATE when sub-cultures become trends. And, unfortunately, most them of them end up doing just that. Even the lamest, most idiotic ones (emo, anyone?)
