Trends You Are Sick Of #1

People are also standing in line to get into the New York store on 5th Ave. Never understood why

Tie dye tees with sweats or ripped jeans
I've started to notice it a few months ago, but never thought much of it until now, a good handful of peoples (even a few guys) are wearing it on a daily bases. Honestly, I just don't get. Why not solid color tee and jeans, seriously?

Fringe boots and purses. My school is just picking up on the trend now lol: PHAIL.

I cannot stand UGGS.
My goodness, they are ugly...but of course you MUST wear them with something from Abercrombie/Holister. Seems like that's all people wear these days.

I'm quite sorry to say that skinny jeans and leggings have become too ubiquitous for too many people's good. Unless you are Kate Moss, most people simply don't have the legs or attitude (or shoes, please no heels that are not boots!) to carry them, IMO.

Also, while I'm at a thread that is bashing LA () let's touch on the LA-men-who-club look: too over-slicked and desperate. Get over the insecurities, stop acting b***hy (and yes that applies specifically to the straight ones) and go out like a freakin' man for crying out loud.

I'm sick of the "fashion blogger" look.

Yes, you are special. Just like everyone else (who dresses like you).

There's a woman in my math class who personifies the term "trying too hard." She wears the same thing every day: pink Uggs, a puffy Baby Phat jacket, Baby Phat jeans, a Burberry scarf, and oversized Chanel sunglasses (knockoffs? Maybe). She obviously is addicted to fake tanning (she's maybe 22 and looks 40), wears shimmery purple eyeshadow, shaves off her eyebrows and draws them on, and over-bleaches her hair.

The worst part is that she obviously thinks she's very fashion-forward.

ah, me too! I almost can't stand looking at blogs anymore, I just get irretaded.

Abercrombie!!!! ughhh. I drove past the store in London the other day and people were queueing to get in!!! RIDICULOUS !!!

5th Avenue is the same. I HATE it. It never used to be like that and it was actually bareable 2 or 3 years ago if you ignored the loud music and annoying sales assistants. I hate those sales assistants, there's attentive and there's "I'm on comission so I'm just going to pretend to be interested and persuade you to buy these really tacky flip flops."

But now it's just like a tourist attraction and full of annoying people who think it looks good to wear hoodies with ABERCROMBIE emblazened across the front. Newsflash: it's not original! And Abercrombie isn't cool! It's conformist and boring. Besides why would you actually want something EVERYbody else has? Oh and who cares if you can get it in every colour of the rainbow, it's still the same!

 I hate that store.

Okay, I don't know if I've said it enough, but leggings should be out. I'm practically against the Lindsay Lohan legging look: Leggings does NOT equal pants!!!

I'm dying to see less people wearing leggings!

I hear ya^ Especially the ones that stop on the middle of the legs, awful!

I can't say it enough; the typical hipster/drunkie/i dont care how i look, but I still spend half my day in front of the mirror-look. Go die please.

same goes w/ quite a few WAYWT threads all over the internet.
dressed by the internets sort of thing.
i think some waywt threads are worse than other b/c there's the emphasis on how exclusive or expensive the separate items are but the person still looks mediocre or even bad.

not really a trend onto itself IRL though.

Ewwww indeed! ;)

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the typical fashion blogger look? I have some idea, but I just want to know if I am thinking of what everyone else is thinking of.

Coming from who has a blog, more or so for personal-use, but whichever :innocent:

For the record, I think a good but a small (tbh) degree of Chictoptians dress impressively nice - it's more of a personal taste in style, though I can see ware some people may think it's incredibly 'try-hard' or another Rick Owens/Balmain followers draped in black&white and whatnot.

Also white/x-color legwarmers against black/x-color tights, it makes your legs this much shorter.

Oh I'm not bashing everyone on there, I have an account myself. It's just that the whole "cardigan, waist high skirt, tights, platform heels, some sort of 80s garment" look does get old.
