Oh I'm not bashing everyone on there, I have an account myself. It's just that the whole "cardigan, waist high skirt, tights, platform heels, some sort of 80s garment" look does get old.
True, true.
It's coming to be a signature more amongst teens I think. I'm beginning to see it in my school even :yuk:

Im sick of the trend(s) all the scandinavians won't let go to, big furjackets, acid washed jeans (love em myself, but give me a break), plaid shirts, transparent etc.

Agreed. Wanna plan a emigration of stylish people to Sweden or England or something?

Totally agree!!!

5th Avenue is the same. I HATE it. It never used to be like that and it was actually bareable 2 or 3 years ago if you ignored the loud music and annoying sales assistants. I hate those sales assistants, there's attentive and there's "I'm on comission so I'm just going to pretend to be interested and persuade you to buy these really tacky flip flops."

But now it's just like a tourist attraction and full of annoying people who think it looks good to wear hoodies with ABERCROMBIE emblazened across the front. Newsflash: it's not original! And Abercrombie isn't cool! It's conformist and boring. Besides why would you actually want something EVERYbody else has? Oh and who cares if you can get it in every colour of the rainbow, it's still the same!

 I hate that store.

Me too!!! For me, it's the stench as you come close to the store .... there is so much cologne / body spray / "inviting aroma" that it actually turns my stomach now .... I stay away in droves, and have to laugh at the thirty girls who all wear the same thing in different colours and think they are "unique".

Ugg boots. My god they really are everywhere and they are so terrible!!

Absolutely .... it's been on and off cold here with the snow but never, ever will I put one toe in those. Besides, after a few wears they start to stink so they are disgusting to be around, never mind wear!!!:yuk:

jack wills! it's practically become a uniform around here, messy blonde hair, jack wills hoodie/gilet, denim skirt and ugg boots, it's so unoriginal, i hate it!

The wannabe hippie thing, "indie" kind of style, mall prep and last but not least the "gangsta" obese man jeans with no belt trend.

Your summary is so spot on!! I absolutely hate it too. There are a lot of them particularly in Oxford, you know, well-off undergrads who think they're oh-so-trendy and preppy.

Okay, I don't know if I've said it enough, but leggings should be out. I'm practically against the Lindsay Lohan legging look: Leggings does NOT equal pants!!!

I'm dying to see less people wearing leggings!

Spotted 3 girls last Friday with leggings, 2 of them with the same style (almost see through) and under short shorts and ballet flats. Just had to smile to myself.

And the over-use of the word "BLING". It's like whenever they ask celebs what they're wearing on TV (in South Africa), the reply is "I'm wearing BLING tonight".

It's the same here in Exeter with all of the Oxbridge rejects!

leggings. especially people who wear shirts that don't cover their bum with leggings. THEY ARE NOT PANTS. this is only MAYBE acceptable if your shirt is really long. otherwise..just..no.

The what we call fjortis(teen)-style. Yellow bleached hair, uggs, bubble(?)jackets, too dark foundation +++ Norwegian "fjortisers" are painful to watch.

I can't say it enough; the typical hipster/drunkie/i dont care how i look, but I still spend half my day in front of the mirror-look. Go die please.[/quote]

That is so overrated and overstated. I am sick of what used to be heroin chic that has now become hipster chic. I live in Hollywood and enjoy the strange and diverse, but the blonde bleached Ugg bimbos and the ever so hip hipsters (Cory Kennedy is not a model and not a blogger) have me scratching m fashionable eyes out.
That and I will forever hate crocs. They are gardening shoes. Period.

ditto on the leggings. i'll admit i have a pair i throw on very rarely but as great as they may be for layering, they are NOT a substitute for pants. especially when they became fairly transparent once you've put them on. not a good look.

Where I go to school, I see North Face fleeces everywhere. They are worn with leggings (worn as pants), Ugg boots, and topped off with a Vera Bradly bag. Its kind of like the college "uniform" and its awful.
