Trends You Are Sick Of #2

I like my grungy black converses for some reason, does the same revulsion apply for men as well?
I do absolutely hate it when converses are worn with a suit though.

Anyways.
Underneath the rankings of all the "fashion" cliché (uggs, sweatpants, etc.)... pleating is slowing gaining my distaste. I still think to myself "ooh, pretty outfit" when I see a girl in a pleated skirt or something, but... meh. I guess I've just been seeing the same thing in different ways for a while now. Stating the obvious, but I should say that it's still lightyears ahead of seeing uggs or sweatpants OF COURSE.

Also, bags with those huge ruffle roses or whatever. Getting old and too many people have them now.

Fur. I don't think there have been more then 10 shows this season where fur wasn't used - and I always cringe (esp at Fendi). :judge:
Plus it doesn't even look that good :ninja:

I hope that trend doesn't get off the runway.

I know the 90s are the next flashpoint (just by succession), but if girls start dressing like Blossom or Six or Angela from MSCL, I'm going to point. And laugh.

I don't understand the leggings craze. It's actually worse than the skinny jeans craze..... if that's even possible. I think skin tight fabric clinging to someone who just does not need to be sporting anything that..... skin tight (such extensive vocab, yes, I know! >.<) is a no go. Oh, naive me, when I thought the 97% of chicks rocking the skinnies was as bad as it gets. But, of course, it gets tighter; leggings! The fashion industry's punishment for complaining about the abuse of skinnies. I'm sorry, I SWEAR! Just, my god, HAVE SYMPATHY. END IT.

Sincerely,

Concerned (but powerless) fashion citizen

Some girls who wear leggings get it, ie. if you're going to wear leggings, either wear a top *long* enough to cover the important parts or wear some shorts or a dress over it. Unfortunately, in the past week, I have had to walk behind two women on my campus on separate occasions who did not adhere to this unspoken rule.

1. She was wearing a jacket, hot pink leggings, and black boots, so basically everything was on display. The campus was also crowded that day because it was after lunch at the beginning of the week, so everyone saw her. Now, I'm sure she has a lot of confidence (a LOT), but I really wanted to take a picture and upload it somewhere in the "How Not to Wear Leggings" category.

2. Walking to a meeting behind another girl who was wearing brown ankle-length tights with her jacket just underneath her butt. She could not even think about bending over without flashing people. I then realized she was heading to the same meeting as me and wished they installed some sort of dress code, because that was just ridiculous. We also had a cold front come through after the meeting (later that night) so I'm sure she was regretting her clothing decision.

I don't like leggings, either, but I'm not going to knock people who at least trying to wear them in a way that doesn't offend others.

Two things i hate.
Denim jackets, i have always hated them and i still see them at uni
Black hair and orange skin- aka Jordanish

As much as I've become rather bored/sick-of/burned-out-on Converse-type sneakers, I've been seeing a few more of Converse sneaker boots. And I'm sorry... Converse sneaker boots = fail. And although I've forgiven jeans tucked into boots, Converse-like sneaker boots tucked into jeans = EPIC fail.

I am sick of people complain about leggings, I think that have become a trend!

But that's why we're complaining about it -- Leggings is a trend a few of us don't like.

It's not that I dislike leggings... I can see the functionality of them, and worn with the right outfit they look good.

I really cannot stand to see girls who wear them with a top that is too short and I can see the outline of their butts. Especially if the girl may have a few "wobbly" bits - sorry but dress for your shape! I don't care what people say! it looks bad! Who let them out of the house with a wedgie and camel toe on full display to the rest of society!

I have seen it heaps lately and wondering if I am missing something that may be going on in fashion...

"Penelope: Kelsey, Kelsey, Kelsey how many times must we tell you? As one of the girls of the steps, you represent Constance royalty.
Isabel Coates: So it should come as no surprise that many girls before you have gotten the ax when their choices reflected poorly on us.
Kelsey: I didn't realize.
Blair Waldorf: That tights are not pants? Honestly? "

:lol::lol:

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate geek glasses :hardhead:
Argh they make me so angry lol.

no kidding. When they first appeared back around 2006ish i thought they were fly, i had a few pair and now that it has blown to sad proportions, i'm over them. the ones that would make fun of me for wearing them....NOW WEAR THEM. Just hypocriticism(sp), overplayed, and i think they look stupid now. If you wear them you're saying, "I'M FOLLOWING A TREND, LOOK AT ME, I'M SO GEEKY-CHIC!" i hope the glasses die a fast and painful death.
