Trends You Are Sick Of #3 (November 2010 - September 2014)

Louboutins. I'm not sure if they are classified as a trend, but I hate the CL Daffodil ones, and those nude mary-jane ones especially. They're so tacky, especially with all that red on the bottom. ugh. And certain celebrities serve to make them look even tackier, I won't name names...

I can't agree more with this, but I think the ones that win on trashiness are the fringe ones that look like horse feet.:yuk:

My list: color blocking, harem pants, JC Litas, gladiator sandals, hippie headbands, the Prada baroque sunglasses (and this one is just getting started), thigh high boots, pirate boots, over the knee boots, sheer maxi skirts...

No problem with shorts, but two shorts looks still don't tickle my fancy.

I am still not liking jean short shorts with tights/leggings underneath. I'm just not into this look no matter how often I see it in pictures and in blogs. Even worse is short shorts with pockets hanging down. Just another look I think is trashy and not stylish or fashionable. Defend these looks all you want- I dislike both looks. Still do.

Color blocking, JC Litas and fashion (outfit!) bloggers -> I can't stand them anymore!

those highwaisted denim shorts. they are so ugly.
and everyone is wearing them like it was a uniform.

I think the main reason I dislike highwaisted is because of Mischa Barton, weird but true, every time I meet that word she immediately pops up in my mind - in much of her pictures she often wears highwaisted denims or shorts and with her body type it just doesn't go, she really got the better of me.

I'm sick of seeing people wearing fake big glasses and those damn hippie headbands on their heads.

This is basically one of the trends I will hate the most and forever with the Geek fake or real glasses. :yuk:

^i'm partial towards the geeky/thick framed glasses. on one hand, i hate it when people wear them just for "style" especially the ones w/o the glass. but i'm wearing one myself, it's because i'm half blind and this is the only kind of glasses that look somewhat decent on my face so.. =/

Swedish Hasbeens.
No issue with the shoe itself, really, just sick of seeing them everywhere. So I guess this constitutes a trend - and it's a trend I'm sick of. Too predictable.

Agreed, I don't mind the shoe but it's everywhere. And I live in Sweden so that should tell you something about how exposed I am to them.

And this hair style that everyone and their mothers are rocking right now:

The Lykke Li bun!, yeah, I've almost managed to block it out completely whenever I spot it, a 2-year hater and counting.

Currently getting sick of bags/clutches in bright colors with minimal decor and plastic-y vibe.. Céline ones, AA clutches, Cambridge Satchels, you get the idea.
Also sick of coming across bloggers that look like makeup artists assistants but pose like Frida Gustavsson, I don't know what they're trying to do with that but it definitely doesn't invite for lots of sympathy and without sympathy, you're just left with a below-average face and some very obnoxious body language.

.. color blocking.

One other thing I'm SICK of seeing is Dip dye hair coloring! it is so boring! everyone has done it! it's over! NEXT!

To add to that, I have to add sunglasses indoors. To quote Larry David: "Only two types of people wear sunglasses indoors: Blind people and a**holes."

Agree 200 %. Sunglasses in the métro... Creepy when you feel the look of someone who's hiding behind shades.

I want to add flowery jumpsuit and rompers that look like night/home wear.

platforms and very high wedges are rarely flattering I find.

It's not even a trend but a seasonal event:tourists in Paris wearing short-shorts and flip-flops, moving in packs like they're 2 year old kids afraid of getting lost, speaking very loudly.

I'm sorry... the whole statement deal can be a hot mess of fail. I don't care what anyone thinks- some of those "statement" accessories can be grotesquely ugly, namely certain rings and some necklaces. I am just not feeling those as much as everyone else.

I know this is a very broad but seriously...

IM SICK OF TSHIRTS, especially on women, they just dont bring up any attraction for me anymore. Anyone with me on this?

I'm kind of over Free People...that whole...boho look. yawn.

i SOOOO agree with you here. every fashion blog is that boho hippie look + litas + dream catchers + feathers + tons of crap jewelry piled on alllll at once... bla bla bla. boring! predictable!

Agree! I can not stand this.
It's winter here but if crop tops, gladiator sandals or high waisted denim shorts are everywhere again this summer I will be so annoyed.
