Twilight

^ I think the Edward casting will depress me; I have a feeling it'll be dire.

I can't find the link saying Kristen has been cast.
I don't know how I feel about it (better than Emily though imo)

Yes I agree, Kristen is LOADS better than Emily. The girl's face just bugs me for some reason.

Kristen Stewart has NOT been officially cast as Bella Swan. Here is what Stephenie Meyer's webmaster Seth said about it, according to a member of Twilight Lexicon:

"It appears that I made a mistake last night, and several people are probably very confused. Stephenie wanted me to test how quickly I could update information to get ready for the announcement. I was playing around with a few things and I accidentally posted the fake announcement (although it is true that she is one of the most popular actors that auditioned for the part). I'm very sorry for the confusion - I hope that clears it up.

I'm almost positive I'm the only person who abhors the idea of Gaspard as Edward. I think Gaspard is attractive, but he's no Edward, at least not my idea of him- at all.

^Yeah you are. Hehe. I'm curious, who do you think is Edward?

BTW, Gaspard's probably not going to get cast, so I'm putting all my hopes on Tom Sturridge.

^ haha well I got my friend to read it too, she hasnt finished it yet but I asked if she thought if Gaspard would work and she didn't so now theres two of us :D

Who do I think Edward could be? I keep thinking of actors but nobody seems right they all seem too generic almost or just okay but not beautiful. I'm really excited to see who they cast though, because I think it'll either make or break the entire movie

I dont really see Bella in her...
but I guess she is a bit better then Emily.

^^ That is my favorite picture of Gaspard. ^_^ There's something so serious, yet carefree in him. Almost lovable and dangerous. :)

Ok, so Kristen is in

Personally, I'm quite happy. I think her face is like a blank canvas & she's pretty but still simple. I can picture her as Bella.

Just for some visual back-up

Hmm I don't know. I don't think she matches Bella's image at all. She sort of projects this strength/independence and she's tall and pretty. I kinda imagined Bella as sort of more unconventional looking, shorter and 'softer' looking because in Twilight she's very weak/dependent on Edward. Kristen Stewart is more suitable to be one of the vampires I think!

Ok I don't even know what I'm talking about!

Oh well, what's done is done so I wish her luck and I hope they cast a damn good Gaspard (unlikely)! We can't judge her just by her looks alone so let's wait for the movie itself.

But on the good side I think she's better than the other actresses that were suggested for Bella's part (except Emily :P ).

^ I see your point, but I disagree. I've seen a few of Kristens movies and shes quite plain. I think with the right wardrobe & whatever other styling they do for her part, she'll look fine. I guess I'm just thrilled that it was her that was cast rather than Emily!

She is way too raggedy to me. I'm not being mean but her mouth and teeth kind of makes me think of a rat.

I think that Kristen is a beautiful girl and a great actress; she's quite fitting... Maybe too pretty for Bella though, but we'll see.

So it's not a mistake after all...
