UK Vogue January 2016 : Gigi Hadid by Patrick Demarchelier

Fashion magazines are definitely dead.

I just came here to see the content after checking Vogue Germany, Vogue España, Vogue Paris and Vogue China threads, and that's all I can say. They are all the same. There's no creative vision anymore. The content is appalling. And it's not about trends. You just get the impression people working in magazines couldn't care less about what they do.

It is really sad.

This is exactly how I feel. I just don't see an ounce of passion in any of it. It's been said before but I think it has to do with how long these damn editors stay put after more than 25 years doing the same thing who would have the same passion? What's sad is that there so many younger people out there who are probably bursting with ideas but are not given the opportunity.

I guess it says a lot when the best thing about this issue is the extraordinary house of Tessa Traeger and Patrick Kinmonth.

I actually enjoyed this issue. The celebrity edit is really something quite grand when you look at the line-up. And the shots of Nicole and Léa? Wow! The rest looks like your typical British Vogue features, but I quite admired Zoe Ghertner's story. Lou and the other girl go well together, like a bunch of modern day flappers.

Gigi's cover story was by far the worst. I lost interest after the first paagraph and frankly found her shots a waste of space.
