UK Vogue March 2019 : Naomi Campbell by Steven Meisel

Hopefully the issue is as good as it sounds (last issue I invested in was March 2018). There was a time when you couldn't go wrong with a hat-trick of Meisel, M&M and Craig...

Hm..... not loving the art direction on this. Would have preferred a more straight forward, 'simpler' cover. It's Naomi friggin' Campbell. She doesn't need all these bells and whistles, she's stunning on her own.

I love everything!!!!!

I’m glad to see that Meisel is still able to shoot something decent outside of the studio.

I like everything but a tiny bit disappointed by Naomi's edit... love the sepia sort of shot but the rest is a bit basic, no? The fact that it's Naomi saves the gig really. Anyway, will definitely be getting this issue. It is very solid.

iconic issue, seriously, like hands down one of the best issues in months.

Great issue!
Is that the « Hair » issue?

Naomi is like a robot. It’s almost hilarious...
Her ed is so ridiculous that it’s actually funny.
Joie de Vivre is beyond! Liya!!

A lot of the B&W portraits are very Meisel tho.

Joie de Vivre, High Society, and Californication are the highlights of this issue for me.

Asides from Naomi’s cover shot and the one where she’s sitting in the chair getting beautified I wasn’t really in to it.

I love every single editorial! Great issue.

I like Naomi's editorial. I'm glad to see that Meisel didn't make a studio shot.

Both M and M and Kadim did better Steven shoots than Steven. Even Meisel can’t squeeze something fresh out of Naomi.

Lovely issue! Standouts are Joie de Vivre and High Society! But dare I say I'm a little disappointed in Karen and Shanelle's ed? Sounded great on paper, yet falls a little flat for me. But still, Edward's best work in months!

Fabulous editorials

HOWEVER, its sad that all of them doesn't feel original. I still don't see Edward's own identity.

All editorials are not coherent.

Layout wise, a severe knock off of Vogue Paris circa 2010

The editorials, though visually appealing, reminds me of something we used to see from Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, and US Vogue back in the good old days.

I am still yet to see what will set Edward apart from all the rest. Yes, he produces stunning stories, but these stories are far from being original
