Impossible to not going back at this issue after the new British Vogue cover. This was really modest. I would love to see the pages with the best covers and pictures.
By this point, it felt like Alexandra Shulman's passion for the magazine had waned a long ago, but she'd wanted to stay as editor to produce the 100th anniversary issue (June 2016).
After that, remaining in the job was more about inertia - or the trepidation of leaving the job you've had for 25 years, even though you know the move is overdue.
