Overall great year. 9 out of 12 excellent covers is prettty good. Jun, Jul, and Aug are weak but the rest make up for it.

Such a vast improvement when I look at the covers together! My eyes instantly went to Imaan with that stunning smile, tan, and confidence! Vittoria's OG is my 2nd best, followed by Gigi. They've done a lot of group covers this year, too many if you ask me. August, July and December is of course the worse for me.

Also, 3 covers for Vittoria???? Overmuch!

7/12 months have multiple people on the cover! far too many. March was such a standout, it looked so so stunning and i vividly remember it on the newsstands in all the convenience stores, which is my test of a memorable cover. I also think May looked so fresh and very classic but august was still unforgivable! thank you artemovartem for so speedily putting it all together!

Also, 3 covers for Vittoria???? Overmuch!

is three VJ covers in 12 months the record? I know Jessica Stam also managed this and Gemma did three within 12 months too although it was over 2 calendar years.

Unlike last year’s lifeless covers, this year VJ is really impressive, Irina and Vittoria’s og covers are two of the best among all editions.

July and August covers are ridiculous though.

And again VJ should really keep using L&I.

There's no excuse for that August cover. One of the worst covers in the history of Vogue. These "photographers" should never shoot for Vogue again.

Perhaps ADR should go. She's bringing too many Italian influences to this Japanse magazine. Vittoria, Sgura, Luigi and Iango, the Morelli brothers, Dolce...

First came Anna Ewers, the perfectly-poised group shot for February, my most favourite of the magazine's this year with Irina Shayk which was followed by an equally as flawless Vittoria Ceretti cover for April.

Ugh, you could not have put it any better! In the past I could tolerate her tackiness at a stretch because it aligned with Tokyo, but she's getting worse month after month. 11 x Covers shot by Italian photographers, four of them (based on snap judgement) featuring to Italian fashion brands?? But that's the typical bruised Italian ego in a nutshell. The vaguest sign of irrellevance and they'll bombard you left right and centre (see: Prada).

Why can't the Japanese wake up and see how their Vogue is being gradually Italianised?

Looking at the covers altogether, never struck me how commercial their direction can be at times. Nevertheless, a lot of stunners this year. Gisele is definitely my #1 here, followed by Lexi, (so refreshing to see her like this), Gigi (hate that I like everything here), and the group cover.

The worst of the lot is definitely creepy Elle and corny Christy. Don't care about Kaia, Lily and Hailey.

Gisele, Gigi, Kaia, and Lexi all win for me. Stunning covers.

Although, when you look at them altogether, you see incoherence. There’s no direction here. I miss the days where you see all covers individually and collectively and you see the VJ image.

Oh, when I said group cover I meant the one with Luna, Lexi, Kiki and Serena. Definitely NOT the one with Anna and whoever else trying their best at a pout challenge.

Although I like all of Luigi & Iango's covers, Kim's might be my favorite this year. I always admired Vogue Japan for their cover models cause they never failed to book the best girls out there. LOVE the OG Supers Shalom and Naomi, followed by magnificent Bella. Nicki also served a pretty nice cover. I wonder what Cardi's American Vogue cover would look like...
January and December are the weakest of the year for me. Tilda's 2007 emo boy look was a big, fat choice and Juergen's latest cover is just weak and boring. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the group covers this year, especially the March one, but I'd still take them over desperate Miss Collier Schorr

Only liked the covers with Bella and Shalom. I used to be obsessed with VJ, but nowadays it's just uneventful.I even gave away a few issues from my collection to friends around.
