US Bazaar October 2007 : Mary-Kate Olsen by Peter Lindbergh

Thanks for all the scans luxx. I would have done so myself if you hadn't, but as usual my copy arrived damaged in every possible way.

I absolutely hate it when that happens! The edges always arrive damaged, or it looks as if they were dipped in water or something horrible like that.

^ Exactly! It'd be nice if they were placed in a plastic wrap or something.

I thought this issue was terrible:( Are they changing their target age demographic? I'm no spring chicken, but it seems the ads and articles are geared towards 50+ the last year. Maybe I'm just getting burned out on the look good at any age articles. It used to be a yearly issue right? Now it is every freaking month.

And can I continue my rant to include tanorexic Armani, and Valentino for that matter? How in such an image conscious business someone hasn't told them, look, scale the pantone color back a few shades, you look ridiculous. How can you have the aesthetic eye to tell if a dress is beautiful, but see yourself in a photo and not know you look orange?

I'm still wearing out an impulse subscription, and while the issue didn't strike my fancy, it does contain an absolutely hilarious and redeeming article by Simon Doonan about 'not looking older'. Not reversing the aging process, because that 'requires serious commitment', but simply not becoming a living anachronism. I'm still in my early twenties, and already I'm in serious trouble; daydreaming, he writes, 'is even more aging than a beauty-parlor shampoo and set. Staring into the middle distance while doing nothing is so antithetical to our multitasking culture that anyone who does will automatically seem a million years old.' I've passed entire weeks in a daydream, which one can attribute either to senility or insanity, and personally, I'd love being old enough to use the former excuse...

Do you really receive it without plastic?:o this issue was the first I received (ever) last month and it came in a plastic see-through something...
I hope next issue will be the same:(

Didn't like the cover though (both of them)
I thought it was very plain in a way..Could have had somewhat more flair to it
