thank goodness i subscribed to this magazine to get that great lady gaga cover. THAT'S fashion. at least there's one magazine brave enough to put hussein chalayan's modern day experiments in front of a national audience -- even if it is just a subscriber cover. britney spears -- even on her best day -- does not represent fashion. is she a great entertainer? certainly. fashion plate? give me a break.

I agree with this. Britney is cemented in Pop culture history forever. She'll never be irrelevant.

i completely agree- britney is an icon.
- i just question her relevance for a fashion mag. people magazine, rolling stone, us weekly okay- but i question the cover of elle. but regardless i love her & am glad she made the "make better" issue. it says a lot.

Exactly my thought. Actually I'm not really objective because I've been loving britney for several years, but I think she is a true icon, and in spite of everything, she has been able to overcome a lot of obstacles. I could admire her only for that! Anyway, I'm glad to see her in that issue.
