The cover could have been great. I like Mandy Moore and the clothes. The multi-coloured fonts take away from the white background. The fact that she's sitting down is strange but it'll pass because it's "new."

If it wasn't for that crappass eyeliner.

I think Mandy looks beautiful here. For the first time ever, I am actually impressed by Elle's version of the smokey eye. Usually it's totally trashy, but that's mainly because of the ridiculous contrast of their bleached blonde cover girls and the dark eyes. With dark haired Mandy, it works.

On another note, Fernanda Tavares' editorial is boring. Usually I like Fernanda, but didn't she do this same exact editorial for Elle just a few months ago, or was it last year? I'm unimpressed.

And as far as the ads, is it me, or has Elle stopped running luxury brand ads in their May/June editions? This month they have Louis Vuitton, Estee Lauder and YSL as their only heavy name advertisers. What's up with this?

I find that there are too many blurbs on the cover...but overall, it is a great cover with the colour combination.

mandy is a pretty girl, but this is so lifeless....
i really don't like the colour scheme....the pink shirt is cheap looking.....and this whole pink/purple thing looks so wishy washy.....
her hair looks good.....the rest is a bit of a shame.....

The rest of the editorial isn't that bad, they should have chosen a better cover because Mandy Moore is quite pretty and it really doesn't do her justice.

Could anyone else make a live person look dead? Could someone imitate the photography of a just out of trade school amateur? Oh, the humanity! It takes genius, I tell you! Google the name. You'll see. They ALL SAY, "WORLD RENOWNED GILLES BENISIMON." How can one person have so much talent while the rest of the world goes hungry? Oh, the humanity! There can be no God with such imbalance! I'm hoping the next month's cover is Keira Knightly. The one after that, Jennifer Anison. Then, Sarah Jessica Parker. Oh, my! I just creamed me pantalones thinking about those covers by the genius of Benisimon.
