Nothing about this works for me! Badly cropped, way too zoomed in, no clothes, no emotion, no drama! It's almost like Karl & Carine wanted to recreate what Alt did with the Beckham's for the Vogue Paris cover, except it doesn't work here!

There is also an article about the shoot here.

From the article...
"Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have landed their second magazine cover together. This time around they will appear on the September issue for Harper’s Bazaar’s Icons by Carine Roitfeld, which includes a 17-page portfolio featuring the omnipresent couple along with models Natasha Poly, Lara Stone and Lindsey Wixson. Karl Lagerfeld shot the editorial at his studio in Paris and Stephen Gan led creative direction."

Awful & where is the chemistry???

Looks like a bad rip off from Doutzen Kroes & Karl Lindmans Calvin Klein Eternity campaign back in 2006

Not bad for Bazaar´s standars imo and what perfect timing! :pink:
at least Poly & Stone have images, I´m looking forward to those.
the worst is that all the other editions will reprint this until the end of time...

It's nice. Why does Kanye have to be in everything though..

Well, it's certainly something new for them in terms of composition, but they both look like mannequins. Why not go for a grey backdrop? This could be a beauty ad.

I subscribed to them after they put Kate, Daria and Anna on covers but looks like I'm going to have to cancel now that's it's become Kardashian/Jenner central. I thought Vogue had that covered :rolleye:

I'm just thankful British Harper's didn't go with this Carrine shoot for the cover. The sooner this bubble bursts, the better.

Oh, I didn't expect the editorial to look like that - selfies again.

I do like Model's pics though.

I hate the idea of them being on a fashion cover, but I don't hate the final result in this case. My only gripe is - it's a "Fall Fashion" issue, but there's literally no fashion on the cover.

I don't like this. It literally looks like a poor man's version of the Beckhams' Vogue Paris cover.

Also, the editorial - if I can call it that, is hilarious. Are we sure it was Carine who styled it and not Kanye himself?

The cover isn't the worst outcome of a Kim and Kanye shoot, but I also know the longer I look at it, the more faults I'll find.

I can't recall ever liking any of Carine's work for Bazaar. Her editorials seem to revolve around a poorly-developed seed of an idea that gets cheaply executed using a few of her favourite models, relying entirely on the girls' skills and experience to bring something - anything - to the otherwise lifeless storyline.

I thought the same thing.

Why does he insist in doing all these covers and campaigns with her? The interview is hilarious. He speaks for her and answers most the questions, and even says that Kim#s career is basically being naked and again compared her to Monroe.

Yes this reminded me of the Beckhams cover as well.
The models shots are slightly flat. I am drawn to Kimye.
