US Vogue April 2009 : Beyoncé by Mario Testino

Anna will never allow anyone who soaked cork on screen to grace the cover of Vogue...:innocent:

How lame. For example while she hasn't been on the cover of Vogue Helen Mirren was in the "controversial" Caligula film which is considered to be nearly p*rn*gr*ph*c and she is one of the most respected actresses today. So I don't see why Chloe Sevigny can't be on there.

BTW "soaked cork"

Anyway I do like the cover but I just can't like her anymore. She's lost her X factor. Her last album was terrible and her fashions are abysmal.

I loveeeeeee the cover TBH, I know people are going to have their reservations, but I love how simplistic and elegant the cover shot is......in fact is anyone sure on the photographer being Testino, it looks a little classier than his usual style (yes I was digging at him )

If the contents are good (and I neverrrr have high expectations for the Shape Issue) I will definetely be getting this

Stunning cover! You can't deny how great she looks, I love the simplicity.

her face is weird on it..
she never fully captures the right photo
like shes trying to be photogenic...if she isnt smiling
its harder for her

No complaints at all. I've never really understood the Beyonce hate, she's incredibly talented and always comes across as an absolute sweetheart.

She looks stunning, and that's a great dress & colour for her. US Vogue have really delivered this year.

YES, I agree with everything you said. :flower:
She is just so bland...she never lets loose and says something interesting in interviews. This is why she can't be a good actress, she's not free with her emotions at all.

I know it pissed her off when Jennifer Hudson got the Vogue cover at the height of Dreamgirls but she is still not deserving all these years later.

Wow wow wow wow wow, not deserving? Please, she won 10 Grammys, Legend Awards @ 2 different awards shows, sang for the President, sang @ the Oscars multiple times, sold over 75 million records and countless other things. I mean if you don't know by now, then idk what to say.

saying shes not deserving is just wrong.

Back on the cover, I think she looks absolutely stunning. Shut the haters down Bee! :D

Oh so if we don't have curves therefore we are not real women.
That's nice.

^And she won an oscar also^_^

And two black women on the cover of US Vogue in a row!??! Yes! Anna this is what US Vogue should look like!

That's what I thought when I first saw Beyonce's name on this thread. I'm blown away...and quite pleased with the results.:mowhawk:

I completely agree with the person who said if Spears/Hudson had covers, she deserves one too

Sorry but no she hasn't and she never been nominated either. It's one of the reason people can't understand why she always turns up on the day.

Well, America is full of not so skinny people so to attract customers they say things like that. I guess it's a self esteem boost or something, but being a "real woman" has nothing to do with your body shape though it might have something to do with being born with a vagina:rolleyes:. Anyway, I agree with the person who said that the "Nip/tuck" thing is really absurd when right next to that banner they seem to be praising "real" body-types. The cover is typical vogue, I was kind of shocked seeing Beyonce but I have nothing against her so whatever. She deserves it as much as the previous celebs they've thrown on their covers.

I guess that cover line is just to reference all those exotic skeletons on the runway, certainly and fortunetly real normal women don't look like that. B)

It's a very elegant, beautiful cover. Beyonce looks the best I have ever seen her on a magazine cover. She shows a softer, more sophisticated side. And the gown looks gorgeous against her skin tone. Is it Posen? I can't wait to see the contents!

i agree..i'd even say best i have seen her look ever..period!. :ninja:
it's very well done, i don't normally like beyonce but she looks very elegant.

IMO Beyonce is the epitome of the vulgar woman, all her "Bootylicious" videos are disgusting but I have to say this is a very nice cover, hopefully the pictures inside will be similar ^_^
