I'm not sure "the loyal audience" makes a difference nowadays, i feel less and less people are loyal to a magazine, the habits of the consumers have deeply changed in the last decade. Vogue US obviously want to get its readership younger, and it makes sense : correct me if i'm wrong, but i think Teen Vogue sell more than the grown-up version. Young people tend to be more enthusiastic about their idol, and buy more. On the other side, they can get tired very quickly, so i think to sell a magazine nowadays is a battle that has to be lead month after month, nothing is for granted anymore.
. It's not the 1950s anymore, guys.. a lot of people buy Vogue for the trends or the look of the month or because someone said you had to buy it in order to be up to date with fashion.. man, I buy it just for the ads and not even Sarah Jessica Parker's face can stop me.
